Ramadan is the 9th month of the Islamic calendar. This year Ramadan is celebrated between Friday 26 May until Saturday 24 June. As a period of sincere confession and repentance, Ramadan is equivalent to Lent on the Christian calendar.

While fasting from dawn until sunset, Muslims refrain from consuming food, drinking liquids, smoking, and engaging in sexual relations. Muslims are also instructed to abstain from sinful behaviour that may negate the reward of fasting such as false speech (insulting, backbiting, cursing, lying, etc.) and fighting except in self-defense.[15][16] Food and drinks are served daily, before dawn and after sunset referred to as Suhoor and Iftar respectively.[17][18] Spiritual rewards (thawab) for fasting are also believed to be multiplied within the month of Ramadan.[19] Fasting for Muslims during Ramadan typically includes the increased offering of salat (prayers), recitation of the Quran[20][21] and an increase of doing good deeds and charity.

As Ramadan approaches, KinderUSA is asking you to stand with the children of Gaza. The situation is getting worse by the minute with many of our beneficiaries telling us that have never experienced it this bad. Gaza sits in darkness, both literally and figuratively, over 20 hours a day which affects all aspects of life and death.

Already lacking clean water (of which less than 4% is drinkable), medicines (cancer treatment is essentially non-existent),  and building materials that could repair the infrastructure of water and sanitation, the vast majority of the Gaza’s residents are prevented from departing, leaving them feeling trapped and desperate.

When we asked our KinderUSA Country Coordinator to share her own life experience living with 3-4 hours of electricity, her main concerns were for the children unable to study for exams, the lack of internet, heat without fans, and refrigeration for food storage. When asked about the beneficiaries, she said, “They told us they have been living without electricity since 2014. Their refrigerator is used for storage, not to refrigerate. We believe we are suffering, then we look to our beneficiaries!”

Entering the 11th year of the blockade, life is intolerable for all its citizens. The sanitation crisis is escalating dangerously with children suffering from skin rash and diarrhoea, increases in kidney problems, and raw sewage being dumped into the sea preventing the one summertime activity children enjoy the most, swimming. Without change soon, the UN’s prediction that Gaza will become inhabitable by 2020 will be a reality.

"While we cannot comprehend this cruel punishment of the people of Gaza," said KinderUSA Chair, Dr Laila Al-Marayati, "we must redouble our efforts to help them survive.  The future is bleaker than ever, but their faith and hope must not be extinguished."

THE WAHHABI INTERPRETATION of Islam originated in Saudi Arabia in the 18th century (the 1700s). Wahabi features very strict and literal interpretations of the holy texts. Wahabism mixed with the Saudi Dynasty through the marriage of one of the direct ancestors of the present King with the daughter of the scholar Abdul Wahab. Wahhabism is very intolerant of anything but Wahhabi interpretations of Islam. 

According to Wahhabi teachings, adherents of Shia Islam are heretics who, therefore, need killing. Anyone who does not accept Wahhabi teachings should be killed as an apostate too. And this is what they did to the Rashidi dynasty in Saudi Arabia. They do not allow any Sunni school of thought in the kingdom except Wahabi Sunni Sect. 

There are some Shia in the Eastern provinces and Ismailis in the southern province of Najran, but only Wahabi Sunni exists in the rest of the kingdom. Other Sunnis were all killed or forced to accept the Wahabi Sunni version of Islam. 

Bahrain is the only Persian Gulf state, outside Iran, that has a Shia Muslim majority. Others with significant Shia populations include Iraq, and Lebanon at about 55% and 40% each. In Pakistan, Bangladesh, and India with a combined Muslim pop of about 500 Million, about 12% to 15 % are Shia the rest Sunni. Somewhat less proportion of Shia exists in other Muslim countries.

The Saudi Kingdom exports its version of Islam to other parts of the Middle East and now to the world. Saudi oil fortunes fund terrorists and supply them with weapons. After making a stirring inauguration speech —just like Barak Obama, President Donald J. Trump has been a total washout — just like Barak Obama. The organ-grinder has made it clear to Trump that he had better continue to do what his predecessors had been doing or he will be removed. Article 4 of the 25th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution provides an easy and bloodless way to remove a President. If that fails, there is the other way. The Deep State is in complete control of the "Commander in Chief" who actually commands nothing. The takeover of the United States has been slowly progressing since WW II was ending in 1945. Trump will continue to do all the evil that was done by Obama, Bush, Clinton and Bush. Trump will do every evil thing Hillary Clinton would have done had she been elected. Donald J. Trump will tell everyone how he is fulfilling his campaign promises —just like Barak Obama — while he betrays the people who voted for him — just like Barak Obama. It's disgusting. The "defense-security" industries are now the single largest industry group in the United States. People can get jobs making bombs and bullets. They can join the military and learn to kill. They can become policemen, border guards, or airport security thugs. World War III is the only thing that is missing. WW II was the best of times for many Americans. WW III will be different. Evil rides high. You lose. I lose. I will hope and pray for collapse.

The U.S. Military-Industrial Complex (MIC) grew fat and happy during WW II. As the war ended, the MIC was understandably reluctant to give up its juicy position. President Truman was persuaded to drop the A-bombs on Japan, turn the Soviet Union into an enemy, launch the Marshall Plan, start the Korean War, reorganise the American war establishment, create the World Bank and the IMF, create the CIA, create the Strategic Air Command, create NATO, and recognise the State of Israel. After eight years of trying to get control of the monster in our midst, President Eisenhower, a Five Star General, left office with a televised warning to the American public and a briefing to the incoming President, John Fitzgerald Kennedy. No one clearly understood the gravity of the warning, especially JFK. - ed

We are witnessing an assault by the national security state and its liberal media on a President of the United States that is unprecedented.

Wild and unsupported accusations of treasonous or illegal Russian connections have been the mainstay of the news since Trump’s campaign for president. These accusations have reached the point that there is an impeachment movement driven by the national security state and its liberal media and endorsed by Democrats, the American left wing which has turned against the working class as “Trump deplorables,” and luminaries such as Harvard Law Professor Larry Tribe. The Washington Post, which was not present at the meeting of President Trump with Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov, purports to know that Trump gave Lavrov US national security information.

The Russian government has offered the presstitute media a transcript of the meeting, but, of course, the presstitutes are not interested.

The latest story is that Trump tried to bribe FBI Director Comey, before he fired him, not to investigate Trump as part of the “Russian investigation.” Clearly, there is no intelligence left in the American media. The President doesn’t need to bribe someone he can fire.

What we are witnessing is the determination of the national security state to keep their prized “Russian Threat” in its assigned role as the Number One Threat to the US. The liberal media, owned by the CIA since the 1950s is in accord with this goal.

A group of Americans visiting Russia heard dire warnings from ex-Soviet President Gorbachev that the tensions between the U.S. and Russia are creating a dangerous situation for the world, reports Rick Sterling, who is on the trip.

May 16, 2017 "Information Clearing House" - The former President of the Soviet Union, Mikhail Gorbachev, is 87 years old but still sharp. He told a delegation of 30 Americans in a two-week visit to Russia organised by the Center for Citizen Initiatives, “This is a time to be concerned. We should worry about relations between our two countries. … Things cannot continue as they are.”

President Gorbachev recalled his initial meetings with President Reagan, which came after six years of poor relations and hostility. In the first summit meeting, Reagan issued a long list of accusations against the Soviet Union; Gorbachev responded with his own accusations against the U.S. After that meeting Gorbachev said “He’s not a hawk; he’s a dinosaur” while Reagan said about Gorbachev “He’s a die-hard communist.”

At the next summit meeting, Reagan continued lecturing Gorbachev. After listening for 15 minutes. Gorbachev stopped Reagan saying, “That’s enough. If you want to talk as equals we can go very far. Differences can be bridged. Problems can be resolved. But as equals.”

Reagan asked how the Soviet Union would respond if the United States was at risk because of some kind of natural calamity. When Gorbachev said his people would want to help, not take advantage, the mood changed.

Making Sense of the

“Super Fuse” Scare

For weeks now I have been getting panicked emails with readers asking me whether the USA had developed a special technology called “super fuses” which would make it possible for the USA to successfully pull-off a (preemptive) disarming first strike against Russia. Super-fuses were also mentioned in combination with an alleged lack by Russia of a functioning space-based infrared early warning system giving the Russians less time to react to a possible US nuclear attack.

While there is a factual basis to all this, the original report already mislead the reader with a shocking title “How US nuclear force modernization is undermining strategic stability: The burst-height compensating super-fuze” and by offering several unsubstantiated conclusions. Furthermore, this original report was further discussed by many observers who simply lack the expertise to understand what the facts mentioned in the report really mean. Then the various sources started quoting each other and eventually this resulted in a completely baseless “super fuse scare”. Let’s try to make some sense of all this.
