Mefloquine is another disaster foisted on mankind by the pharmaceuticals industry and its government watchdogs the FDA and the CDC. One rather serious side-effect is it turns people who take it or who have taken it into psychotic killers. That could possibly be desirable when the recipients are "servicemen" in combat. But it is not so desirable when a "serviceman" returns home and murders his wife and children.
It's another product brought to mankind by the U.S. Department of Defence and the U.S. government.
Gory scenes are not posted to protect my innocent readers.
Does it immunize or cure malaria? No. But malarial beasties are immune.
