VENEZUELA REVISITED
Hugo Chavez
Sidney Powell has asserted that the voting machines used in the US Presidential election of 2020 were engineered in Venezuela where they are used to keep the communists in power. Chinese money and expertise were used, she claims. Cuban money is important too. I have also seen her tell Lou Dobbs that the CIA probably developed the voting machines' software.
What Cuban money? Did the Cuban communists use the voting machines to get 99% of the Cubans to vote them out of power?
Here’s what I think: Sidney is not nuts. The software probably was developed by the CIA, which has the know-how and the money. It was used to keep the former Venezuelan regime in power.
About 25% or less of the Venezuelans are white. They are "descendants" of the original Spanish conquistadors. The 75% or more are descendants of the original Indians and the African slaves imported in the nineteen century. This is typical of Central and South America. The over-riding political factor is keeping everything in the hands of the “Spaniards”.
Mexico is much more liberal than most of Latin America. Mexico long-ago recognized that the Spanish were helped by the local tribes to defeat the Aztec.
Venezuelan oil was an early discovery. Standard Oil and Royal Dutch Shell (a British company) made a deal with the dictator. They would keep him in power if he granted them exclusive access to Venezuelan oil. That is how U.S. foreign policy works everywhere in the world. Humanitarian invasions are the same scam.
Hugo Chavez was trained in the Venezuelan military by the Americans. Hugo figured out how to get into power. Chavez tried several coup d'états himself. He possibly used the voting machines to win elections. But that doesn’t make sense. If his supporters were >75%, he didn’t need to cheat. The other guys needed to cheat.
One disgruntled opponent of Hugo Chavez said, “He gives them bricks, mortar, bread, and they vote for him." Chavez did help the "black" Venezuelans. This Chavez opponent drove Greg Palast to a "mass anti-Chavez rally" in the countryside. He was wearing an Armani suit and driving a shiny Lexus. The "mass demonstration" was at a prosperous farm. They only person there was the old lady who owned the farm.
An American journalist was my source. He speaks Spanish and has lived in Venezuela. He wrote for a British newspaper and the BBC because no Americans would touch him with a ten-foot pole. He knew Chavez and Maduro as well as some Venezuelan opposition people. I’m looking for his reports. Here Greg Palast is on the Jimmy Dore show.

Was Chavez, a communist dictator, he asks? Do dictators allow hundreds of thousands to congregate in the capital city streets to demonstrate against them? Does a dictator allow these demonstrators to carry guns? Does he allow them to chant, “Kill the monkey!” Does a dictator allow all the country’s media to scream every hour for his violent overthrow?
Was he a communist? Does a communist allow the country’s major industry to be owned by the same foreigners who always owned it? Chavez did kick EXXON out. He did tax the oil industry, and he did distribute it to the people who had NOTHING before.
The hills surrounding Caracas used to be inhabited by people who lived in cardboard shacks with corrugated tin roofs. Chavez built apartment blocks. Every building was served by a doctor. He established schools. Gasp!
Anyone can see Chavez was a desperate villain.
The United States organized a coup d’état to overthrow Chavez. One of many. They kidnapped him. He thought he was a goner. Chavez was rescued by the Venezuelan military who got wind of the coup. The Americans held the inauguration of their chosen leader in the Presidential Palace when someone came in and told them, “There are a million people outside. If you don’t get out of here, they are going to come in and kill you.” The inauguration party got the hint and skedaddled out a secret passageway. Hugo was back in power.
Maduro (who used to be a bus driver) is the same as his predecessor. Chavez was killed by stomach cancer.
American economic warfare is why Venezuela is in bad shape. The Americans STOLE the Venezuelan money in U.S. banks and have made it impossible for Venezuela to sell any oil. American sanctions forbid the Koch brothers (there is only one today) from paying for oil Venezuela delivers to their refinery. American sanctions make it impossible for Venezuela to borrow any money from anyone. Shadowy forces continue to attack Venezuela. (the CIA?)
American economic warfare is why Iran is in difficulty too. Everything was just dandy in Iran as long as The Shah was the dictator, working for the Americans. The Empire cannot afford to be humiliated.
