They look very chummy here in 1942. How could Churchill have changed his mind so completely in four years? Did he change his mind? Notice Stalin's left arm. He suffered numerous strokes for years before one killed him in 1953.
In 1943, Churchill presented The Stalingrad Sword to Stalin to commemorate the Soviet victory at Stalingrad at the allies' conference in Tehran.
