KARL POPPER on KNOWLEDGE and CERTAINTY

© MMXIX V.1.0.0
by Morley Evans

Popper uses falsification as a criterion of demarcation to draw a sharp line between those theories that are scientific and those that are unscientific. ... Popper claimed that, if a theory is falsifiable, then it is scientific.

A statement may not necessarily be true that is scientific, but it is scientific if it can be disproven. Scientists look for ways to test their own hyptheses to destruction. They don't try to prove them by piling up mountains of "proof". Religious statements cannot be disproven. They are not scientific. That is all that can be said about them.
