Why did the measles mortality rate drop? Why did it rise? Vaccines had NOTHING TO DO WITH EITHER! Vaccine critics insist polio and smallpox also declined before vaccines were introduced; Vaccines were accredited with eradicating those diseases. 

Bubonic plague is the most famous pandemic. It arose and subsided long before vaccines were invented. Why? There is a Bubonic plague vaccine today. Few people have been inoculated, yet the plague hasn't killed millions for centuries. Why not?

The so-called "Spanish Flu" killed more people in 1918 than WWI from 1914 to 1918. It came and it went. From where did it come? Where did it go? Was God punishing mankind for his wickedness in the Great War?

U.S. military personnel are forced to take the Anthrax vaccine. It is claimed to be harmful and non-efficacious. Some claim tens of thousands of soldiers have died after inoculation. "Gulf War syndrome" is claimed to have resulted from the vaccine. Personnel who were not stationed in-theatre during the Gulf War, but were inoculated, have "Gulf War syndrome". The military dismisses the issue while a few make millions selling the vaccine to the U.S. government. 

Mefloquine injected in soldiers to prevent malaria may create psychosis. Psychotic soldiers may be useful in combat — basic training could be designed to create psychopaths. Psychopathy is not desirable, however, when soldiers come home to civilian life. The epidemic of mass shootings across the United States may have its source in military doctrine, training, and even in vaccination.

It is recognized by everyone — even many doctors — that public health measures like pure water and sanitation have been much more important than doctors and medication for vastly improved public health. Doctors were slow to accept "germ theory" when it was proposed in the late 19th century. Today it is the foundation of the "War on Germs". 

American governments are fond of declaring war to solve every problem. After excluding foreign wars, the list of domestic wars is still very long: the War on Drugs; the War on Poverty; the War on Illiteracy (public education); the War on Discrimination (Civil Rights); the War on Smokers; the War on Terrorism; the War on Alcohol (Prohibition); the War on Saturated Fat; the War on Cholesterol; and the War on Secession, (aka the War between the States; aka the War to Free the Slaves; aka the Civil War). Were the Wars on Indiginous American peoples foreign or domestic? Will the War on War bring about Peace? 

Former President Jimmy Carter thinks the USA is the most war-like country in history.

We have co-existed for aeons with viruses and bacteria without vaccines or antibiotics or other pharmaceutical nostrums because we have an immune system that keeps us healthy. Doesn't it work anymore? Why not? There are more bacteria and viruses in every human body than human cells. Bacteria and viruses R us along with other microbes in our personal biomes; Don't forget fungi. Microorganisms aren't necessarily the enemy. We need to learn more about them. Some think without them, we wouldn't be here.

The USA has a long history of going berserk. The 2019 measles panic is one more example. Sometimes known as the "Excited States of America" citizens of the USA — more than other people — are kept in a state of chronic alarm. Americans are like a barrel of nitroglycerine, ready to explode when jiggled slightly or like a loaded gun, cocked and ready to fire at someone.

(CNN)New York City has declared the measles outbreak affecting the Orthodox Jewish community in Williamsburg to be a public health emergency, Mayor Bill de Blasio said Tuesday.

Unvaccinated people living in select ZIP codes will be required to receive the measles, mumps and rubella vaccine, known as MMR, to curtail the outbreak and protect others, he said.

Under the mandatory vaccinations, members of the city's Department of Health and Mental Hygiene will check the vaccination records of any individual who may have been in contact with infected patients. Those who have not received the MMR vaccine or do not have evidence of immunity may be given a violation and could be fined $1,000.

Every hour, every day matters here. If people would just go and get vaccinated, there's no cause for a fine," de Blasio said. "It's not our goal to issue violations. We want to simply solve the problem."

New Yorkers should call 311 to access a list of facilities that can provide the measles vaccine at low or no cost, de Blasio said.

Almost all children who have measles recover in a few days. I did. I had chickenpox at the same time too! My mother rubbed calamine lotion on my itchy skin. It didn't help. I suffered until I recovered. 

Why do people die who have measles? Do they have some other problem? What?

More than 50,000 Americans are killed each year in car crashes. Shouldn't we outlaw cars? Why not? Think of all the lives that would be saved. People who had to walk would be healthier. Medical costs would drop.

The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary.
