Malum

© MMXI V.1.0.1
by Morley Evans

Malum prohibitum means a prohibited wrong, usually a wrong prohibited by statute
Malum in se means a wrong that is "naturally evil as adjudged by the sense of a civilized community"

Libertarians are concerned with Malum prohibitum that are not Malum in se such as prostitution, homosexuality and drug use — even though many libertarians, such as myself, may object to these.

Libertarians are also concerned with Malum in se that are excused, such as the robbery committed by the State: taxation and debasement of the currency which funds everything the State does. All of it, from welfare to war is tainted by the poison fruit of the poison tree, theft.

The State itself is naturally evil as adjudged by the sense of a civilized community and everything it does is illegal.

The State has no right to make law or to steal. Therefore Malum prohibitum is illegitimate.

So much for that. But thems with the guns makes the laws. Mao said "Power grows out of the barrel of a gun."

It really makes no difference at all if Obama is not an American. It does not matter that the Income Tax was created as a temporary measure to fund WW I. Income Tax will never be repealed by the people who run the State because they like spending the money as much as Obama likes being the President. Here, Canadians are happy to protect people who are doctors and pharmaceutical companies whatever they do.

I would prefer to live in a civilized community, myself, but I don't know where to find one. If our civilization is brought to an end by a financial tsunami, I doubt if everyone's behaviour will improve. Were people better during the Great Depression? Maybe they were.

Life is better when life is simpler.

Nineteen Eighty-Four

© MMXI V.1.0.2
By Morley Evans

This movie is based on the novel Nineteen Eighty-Four by George Orwell. Does this look familiar? What do you do every night? Do you watch the television? Do you watch the News? Does someone tell you what to think? How do you know what you know? Does this look familiar? Of course not. It looks like them, not us, doesn't it? Of course. We are different. How do you know what you know? Does this look familiar? Nineteen Eighty-Four is so depressing. The book is even more depressing. Depressed? Take an anti-depressant. You'll feel better fast. Ours is a Brave New World.

Osama Speaks

© MMXI V.1.0.4
by Morley Evans

This interview with Osama bin Ladin was published on September 28, 2001 in Ummat, an Urdu-language daily newspaper in Karachi, Pakistan.

http://www.unknownnews.org/OsamaInterview.html

Was there an Osama bin Ladin, leader of a world-wide shadow network of terrorists, or was Osama a figure created by the CIA to be the equivalent of Emmanuel Goldstein who was created by the Ministry of Truth in George Orwell's Nineteen Eighty-Four? Are there large numbers of people who want to bring down Washington's Empire? Undoubtedly. Is there an Al Qaeda world-wide terror organization like SMERSH or SPECTRE? Doubtful. A Red Under Every Bed was more credible. Do you remember when the Colombian cocaine cartel in Cartagena (CCCC) was the most dangerous threat since the Nazis? Al Pacino played a very scary Toni Montana in Scarface. I was scared, believe me. Do you remember that Saddam Hussein was even more evil than Stalin or Hitler from whom he learned how to be a ruthless dictator? Do you remember the boy who cried, "Wolf!" or Chicken Little? Who was Foxy Loxsy and what is the moral of the story? Please leave your answers in Comments below.

Iraq and Afghanistan Casualties

© MMXI V.1.0.4
by Morley Evans

Here are some reliable figures on people killed and seriously injured (usually combined as "casualties") in Iraq and Afghanistan.

At least 919,967 people have
been killed in Afghanistan and Iraq
and another 1,739,547
have been seriously injured
since the U.S. and coalition attacks,
based on lowest credible estimates.

These figures do not include deaths and serious injuries before the United States began to avenge 9/11 by bombing Afghanistan and invading Iraq. Preceding the current ten year fiasco begun by George W. Bush was the Gulf War (1990-1991) which was undertaken by George H.W. Bush. That was followed by the sanctions on Iraq of Tony Blair and Bill Clinton which killed hundreds of thousands of Iraqis. The current aggressions were preceded by a long history of aggressions aimed at colonial exploitation of the region (oil, WW I, oil, WW II, oil) — stretching back into the nineteenth century and the world hegemony of the British Empire which lasted until 1945 when the United States of America took over management of the world's affairs. We are responsible for much oily and foul business in today's Iraq: http://killinghope.org/bblum6/aer93.html Estimates of civilian deaths from the sanctions range from 100,000 to over 1.5 million, most of them children. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iraq_sanctions

The recent past. Remember this?

The Gulf War
Our heroes are at work. Does that make you proud?
Will China be next? Again? Our heroes are running out of enemies.
They ran out of money long ago so this won't continue much longer.

Osama Is Dead?

© MMXI V.1.0.2
by Morley Evans

Osama is dead? Really? Obama, the President of the United States of America said so. I thought Osama died of his medical infirmities years ago, but we can believe the CIA, the U.S. military and its Special Forces, the White House, and the world-wide media that reported Osama's killing, so it must be true. Right? Do you think they needed a story to show they are making progress in the War on Terror that has shown no progress in ten years, except curtailment of your freedom and destruction of your economy? Is Alan Greenspan a terrorist? Or Bill Bernanke?

Here is a link to William Blum's Anti-Empire Report where you will find things that you may not know because they don't come from the President of the United States and all the usual reliable sources.

A Word For Gaddafi

© MMXI V.1.0.6
by Morley Evans

Everyone is out to get Gaddafi of Libya.

"Gaddafi is a brigand who took over a country." "Gaddafi kills his own people to remain in power." How shocking! "The United States and NATO cannot allow these outrages to continue. They must step in to protect civilians."

The world was just treated to a magnificent wedding at Westminster Abbey in London. They watched the wedded couple parade in coaches surrounded by splendid cavalry riding wonderful horses. The men all wore beautiful be-medaled uniforms, some with shiny breastplates and plumed helmets.

What everyone was watching were the descendants of William the Conqueror who invaded Britain at the Battle of Hastings in 1066. William and the Normans established a complete military occupation over the British Isles that has lasted a thousand years (with the exception of southern Ireland which was never completely subdued).

The wonderful uniforms seen in the wedding are worn by British soldiers. Wedding participants are on active service today. The uniforms are not costumes worn by actors. The job of the military (including the police) is to kill people who threaten the rulers. That is what they do. That is what they have always done. The military does not exist to protect the people.

You don't believe this? Why don't you announce you plan to overthrow the government, or secede from the country, and see what happens?

In a thousand years, the descendants of Gaddafi could be celebrating the wedding of a prince and princess. They will look just as beautiful as Kate and William looked when they were married.

The cheering crowds in a future Libya would be made up of people who survived and found a place in the regime. None of their ancestors would have been killed before they had children.

Gaddafi's protestations that he doesn't deserve to be targeted may seem comical to us, but what Gaddafi is doing is no different from things our ancestors did, and we are doing, that we think are completely respectable.

We Canadians — even Indians — can all proudly say that none of our ancestors were killed before they had children. God Save the Queen!

By the standards of most people, Muammar Gaddafi is extremely successful. He runs a country for fun and profit. He is worth billions (like the Queen). He supports freedom and human rights. He has survived all efforts to get rid of him (like Fidel Castro and Hugo Chavez). Gaddafi has built the world's largest public works project to bring fresh water to Libyans whose country is in the Sahara desert. He has made alliances with black African nations and thinks of himself as an African Castro. He is made to look like a clown by our media, but Gaddafi is no more crazy than our own leaders. How crazy are they? Read Killing Hope.
