CHRIS HEDGES

© MMXIX V.1.0.1
by Morley Evans

AMERICA The Farewell Tour examines the end of Washington's Empire and explores the rot within. Hedges reveals your worst nightmares; Don't turn away. Look at them. It took from 1918 to 1956 (38 years) for the British Empire to collapse. When the US dollar is no longer king, the US empire will disappear in a heartbeat. The United States and its vassals, like Canada, will be severely impacted. Remember the Great Depression? Humm . . ?

Suicide, today in the United States, is highest within middle-aged white men. They see no future for themselves. They see themselves as abandoned by American institutions. These men perceive no prospects to have an honourable place in the world, no family, no home, nothing. They see themselves as human refuse. Even slaves have more.

Suicide is even higher in the American military where brutalised men are trained to be psychopathic killers who trade their souls for a bauble on their chests.

Chris Hedges is a leftist who cannot escape from his own "founding myths". His are, mainly, the New Deal that was created by Franklin Roosevelt. The high times of the United States of America were the 1940s and 1950s. This prosperity started to unravel in the 1960s. WARS enriched the USA while they destroyed everyone else. Unionised workers' wages and benefits as well as government programs were made possible by this affluence. Ignoring this fact, cause and effect have been reversed.

The 1920s roared in the United States because the USA was enriched by WWI. Americans (some of them) got filthy rich by selling war materiel to the British, French and Russians. Yes, Americans sold to the Germans too until the USA officially joined the Allies in 1917 at the end of the war.

War has worked for Americans; Violence has been used to solve every problem throughout American history. Violence is glorified as the solution of last resort. Democrats see themselves as representing the interests of ordinary people against the upper classes. Both Woodrow Wilson and Franklin Roosevelt, who were the greatest warmongers, were Democrats. They put the American Empire on top. Lyndon Baines Johnson and William Jefferson Clinton were Democrats too.
