The State of Israel started 130 years ago with one Rothschild colony in Palestine. Palestine was specially designated by the Sultan as the property of Allah so no one would fight over it. Palestine existed for 600 years inside the Ottoman Empire. Palestine existed for millennia before that. Palestine is the Holy Land: the place from which Muhammad had ascended to Heaven; the place where Jesus lived, died and rose from the dead after three days; the place of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and Moses. Sunni and Shi'ite Muslims lived in peace with Christians, Druze and Jews. Everything changed with the defeat, destruction and dismemberment of the Ottoman Empire that was engineered by Great Britain in 1918. Zionist intentions and the intentions of what would become their State of Israel have been recorded over the years with maps. These maps tell of the implacable Zionist lust for Palestinian land which Zionists have relentlessly and remorselessly stolen under various pretexts of self defense, religion and "law". The Zionists have persecuted everyone. Zionists have killed Muslims, Christians and Jews while portraying themselves as perennial victims of anti-Semitism. These crimes have been aided and abetted by the United States and paid for by U.S. taxpayers.

Omar Khadr

by Morley Evans
Omar Khadr was "arrested" when he was 15 years old after a firefight in Afghanistan between members of the United States Army, who were supported by the United States Air Force, and Afghans who were "suspected" of being terrorists. After hours of combat, every Afghan but Khadr was killed. Khadr, who was himself wounded, was charged with murder for throwing a grenade that killed a U.S. soldier. (This has been shown to have probably been a death by "friendly fire.") Khadr has been imprisoned for years as an "enemy combatant" in Guantanamo, Cuba, while he awaits his "trial." Periodically, Khadr's case makes the news.
Really?
Why aren't the members of the United States Army along with members of the United States Air Force charged with murder? Don't people kill each other in wars? Is not the explicit purpose of every soldier to kill his enemy? Is everyone supposed to sit passively while they let American soldiers kill them? If they shoot back, are they guilty of a crime, perhaps "resisting arrest?" This entire affair is as ridiculous as the empire that thinks it is not an empire and some of its deluded imperial legionnaires who think they are policemen, or social workers.
Do you remember that the United States called the Korean War (with millions killed and wounded) a "police action"?
The gods of war must be laughing their heads off. I am.

Learning and Knowledge
© MMX V.1.1.1
by Morley Evans
The genotype of an individual is what its species has learned over millions of years to enable individuals to survive. The phenotype of an individual allows it to adapt to specific environments. Humans, who originally evolved in Africa, live in the Arctic, for example. Their genotype is identical. Their phenotype is different. Both evolve through learning. The mechanism is trial and error. Errors do not survive. Adaptive choices survive. Progeny of survivors benefit from what was learned.
Culture embodies everything that has been learned. It is passed on from generation to generation. Individuals do not know or need to know why some things are done or why some things are not done. It works, that is all that matters. "That is how we have always done it," someone might say. People may not be able to defend knowledge and behaviour that has been handed down this way. Yet, we would be wise to be conservative and cautious even if we can't say why. The idea that everything is connected to everything is quite new to us in the West. Changing anything affects everything, sometimes in catastrophic ways.
The problem with "modern civilization" is that we are not as smart as some of us think they are.
The Franklin Expedition (1845) is one excellent example: The Franklin Expedition was organized to navigate the Northwest Passage to China. It was undertaken by the British Empire at the height of its power. Every modern scientific advantage was provided, yet everyone and everything was lost in horrific ways:
"In 1981, a team of scientists led by Owen Beattie, a professor of anthropology at the University of Alberta, began a series of scientific studies of the graves, bodies, and other physical evidence left by Franklin crew members on Beechey Island and King William Island. They concluded that the crew members whose graves had been found on Beechey Island most likely died of pneumonia and perhaps tuberculosis and that lead poisoning may have worsened their health, owing to badly-soldered cans held in the ships' food stores. However, it was later suggested that the source of this lead may not have been tinned food, but the distilled water systems fitted to the expedition’s ships. Cut marks on human bones found on King William Island were seen as signs of cannibalism. The combined evidence of all studies suggested that hypothermia, starvation, lead poisoning, and disease including scurvy, and general exposure to a hostile environment lacking adequate clothing and nutrition, killed everyone on the expedition." [1]
It has been suggested that the "modern and scientific" British explorers refused to learn anything from the "backward" native Inuit who had successfully lived in the Arctic for millennia. (Today, the Inuit, having adopted modern ways, such as skidoos, TV and Pizza Pops, are in big trouble. In fact, they face disaster and extinction as a people.)
Throughout history, there have been thousands of similar examples. In the last fifty years, "modern civilization" has been reshaping the world at breathtaking speed. We think we know what we are doing, or at least, some think they know.
We don't have a clue. The chemical industry, alone, has created tens of thousands of new chemicals in the past sixty years that never existed before. No one has any idea what most of them will do. We know about PCBs and DTT — after the damage was done. Some researchers are only now discovering what Fructose does. Fructose? They put that in our food. They put lots of that in our food. It is approved by the FDA. [2]
"Only mad dogs and Englishmen go out in the midday, out in the midday, out in the midday sun." Why don't the natives go out in the midday sun? Is it because they are stupid? Is it because they are lazy?
"Well, at least Americans are better than the British were."
"No, they are worse."
The current "Global Warming" hoax illustrates the weakness of our institutions of learning and knowledge as does the Great Cholesterol Hoax.

Molly Ivins (1944-2007)
By Jone Johnson Lewis, About.com Guide
You either loved or hated Molly Ivins. She was a political commentator with a sharp wit -- a take-no-prisoners critic of what she considered silly, outrageous, or unfair. Molly Ivins was based in Texas, and both loved and made fun of her state and its culture and politicians.
Selected Molly Ivins Quotations
• The first rule of holes: when you're in one, stop digging.
• What you need is sustained outrage...there's far too much unthinking respect given to authority.
• Think of something to make the ridiculous look ridiculous.
• The thing about democracy, beloveds, is that it is not neat, orderly, or quiet. It requires a certain relish for confusion.
• Satire is traditionally the weapon of the powerless against the powerful.
• There are two kinds of humor. One kind that makes us chuckle about our foibles and our shared humanity -- like what Garrison Keillor does. The other kind holds people up to public contempt and ridicule -- that's what I do. Satire is traditionally the weapon of the powerless against the powerful. I only aim at the powerful. When satire is aimed at the powerless, it is not only cruel -- it's vulgar.
• I believe that ignorance is the root of all evil. And that no one knows the truth.
• You can't ignore politics, no matter how much you'd like to.
• It is possible to read the history of this country as one long struggle to extend the liberties established in our Constitution to everyone in America.
• What stuns me most about contemporary politics is not even that the system has been so badly corrupted by money. It is that so few people get the connection between their lives and what the bozos do in Washington and our state capitols.
Politics is not a picture on a wall or a television sitcom that you can decide you don't much care for.
• There's never been a law yet that didn't have a ridiculous consequence in some unusual situation; there's probably never been a government program that didn't accidentally benefit someone it wasn't intended to. Most people who work in government understand that what you do about it is fix the problem -- you don't just attack the whole government.
• I believe in practicing prudence at least once every two or three years.
• It's hard to argue against cynics -- they always sound smarter than optimists because they have so much evidence on their side.
• Being slightly paranoid is like being slightly pregnant - it tends to get worse.
• I still believe in Hope - mostly because there's no such place as Fingers Crossed, Arkansas.
• One function of the income gap is that the people at the top of the heap have a hard time even seeing those at the bottom. They practically need a telescope. The pharaohs of ancient Egypt probably didn't waste a lot of time thinking about the people who built their pyramids, either. OK, so it's not that bad yet -- but it's getting that bad.
• It's like, duh. Just when you thought there wasn't a dime's worth of difference between the two parties, the Republicans go and prove you're wrong.
• In the real world, there are only two ways to deal with corporate misbehavior: One is through government regulation and the other is by taking them to court. What has happened over 20 years of free-market proselytizing is that we have dangerously weakened both forms of restraint, first through the craze for "deregulation" and second through endless rounds of "tort reform," all of which have the effect of cutting off citizens' access to the courts. By legally bribing politicians with campaign contributions, the corporations have bought themselves immunity from lawsuits on many levels.
• Any nation that can survive what we have lately in the way of government, is on the high road to permanent glory.
• During a recent panel on the numerous failures of American journalism, I proposed that almost all stories about government should begin: "Look out! They're about to smack you around again!"
• I am not anti-gun. I'm pro-knife. Consider the merits of the knife. In the first place, you have to catch up with someone in order to stab him. A general substitution of knives for guns would promote physical fitness. We'd turn into a whole nation of great runners. Plus, knives don't ricochet. And people are seldom killed while cleaning their knives.
• The United States of America is still run by its citizens. The government works for us. Rank imperialism and warmongering are not American traditions or values. We do not need to dominate the world. We want and need to work with other nations. We want to find solutions other than killing people. Not in our name, not with our money, not with our children's blood.
• from her last column, January 11, 2007: We are the people who run this country. We are the deciders. And every single day, every single one of us needs to step outside and take some action to help stop this war. Raise hell. Think of something to make the ridiculous look ridiculous. Make our troops know we're for them and trying to get them out of there.

Helping People
© MMX V.1.0.0
by Morley Evans
The Representative from Texas, Ron Paul, objects to using the earthquake disaster in Haiti as an excuse to send in the US military. While I usually agree with Dr. Paul, I have reservations in this case. The world's most powerful military must be good for something. It hasn't been able to win any wars since 1945. It should be put to some good use. (Yes, of course, the military did successfully invade Grenada in 1983 and Panama in 1989.) If it fails to accept this mission, people might say that the military has been a colossal waste of money! Put it to good use, I say!
New Orleans is a good example of how the military and Washington lawmakers have helped black people in the past. The Army Corps of Engineers has ably re-engineered the Mississippi River, correcting Mother Nature's shortcomings. Since Hurricane Katrina, Washington lawmakers have rebuilt New Orleans with boodles of cash and far-sighted planning. Now the US military can fulfill its mission to help a benighted world by taking over Haiti. Any earthquake that dares to upset Haiti again will be messing with the world's most powerful military! Send earthquakes to GITMO for reeducation. Washington lawmakers may soon be passing legislation to outlaw earthquakes altogether. I hope they do. Californians and our friends in Japan and China will benefit too.
Helping people. It's what we do. Canadians will be quick to lend Uncle Sam a hand, I'm sure. Canadians are always ready to step up to the plate. The RCMP is already there. Mounties have been there since the last invasion of Haiti in 2004.

LOVE STORY
(Where Do I Begin?)
Andy Williams
Where do I begin?
To tell the story
Of how great a love can be
The sweet love story
That is older than the sea
The simple the truth about the love she gave to me
Where do I start?
With her first hello
She gave new meaning
To this empty world of mine
There’d never be
Another love another time
She came into my life
And made the living fine
She fills my heart
She fills my heart
With very special things
With angel songs
With wild imaginings
She fills my soul
With so much love
That anywhere I go
I’m never lonely
With her along, who could be lonely?
I reach for her hand
It’s always there
How long does it last?
Can love be measured by the hours in a day
I have no answers now
But this much I can say
I know I’ll need her till the stars all burn away
And she’ll be there...
How long does it last?
Can love be measured by the hours in a day?
I have no answers now
But this much I can say
I know I’ll need her till the stars all burn away
And she'll be there...

Mind Control
© MMX V.1.0.4
After World War II our leaders moved into a new world of mind-control. When planning their next move, they ask themselves, "How dumb are the boobs (that's us) this morning?"
Controlling what people think is not something new. Apparently, Elizabeth I knew the value of — and was adept at — manipulating public opinion. This was almost 500 years before Edward Bernays and Sigmund Freud. New tools were available after the War, especially television. The public mind had already been massaged with newspapers, advertising, radio, newsmagazines and public education. Easy credit was fuelling the post-war boom of the Fifties. Sex was becoming the most important tool to sell stuff. Sex, sex, sex everywhere …
Rock 'n Roll replaced the music of preWar generations. It was a simple four chord "chonga-changa" thumpa thumpa. It was raw and it was incessantly hammered home over the radio. Recording moguls discovered that the more frequently disk jockeys played a tune, the more recordings the "listening public" would buy. Paying disk jockeys to play a tune over and over was called "payola". It was a huge scandal. The youngsters (that was us) were incessantly told that their parents were dumb and that they were smart. They were told what they should like too. Since they didn't have any ideas of their own, because they were youngsters, and their parents were dumb, that left only the people preaching "youth liberation" to lead the newly "liberated" youth. The youth followed their liberators and made them rich.
Dick Clark was one of the Pied Pipers who lead the revolution.
I didn't like Dick Clark, who has for decades been labelled "America's oldest teenager." Dick Clark and others told us what we were supposed to like. Specifically, they told us what music we were supposed to like. "Roll over Beethoven and tell Tchaicovski the news.."
Dick Clark told us that we were supposed to like standing for hours in the cold in Times Square in New York City while we waited for New Years. Why would anyone want to do that? His real message was that we should like watching people shivering in the cold in Times Square. I would rather be at a posh ball at the Walrorf Astoria with a beautiful woman who was wearing a beautiful gown. We would dance to Guy Lombardo And His Royal Canadians. We would sip champaign and wait for New Years with friends. This is what adults did, I observed as a child who watched movies with Fred and Ginger. This was something to look forward to doing when I became an adult. Oh boy! This would be great!
But as we grew up, that future was eliminated. We were robbed. We got Dick Clark and his American Bandstand.
I would rather go to bed early than shiver in the cold in Times Square waiting with 50,000 strangers for a lighted ball to drop. Who dreamed up that "tradition"? Some of those people standing in Times Square are pickpockets and prostitutes. Times Square was the seedy home of peep shows, tattoo parlors and porno shops. Maybe it still is. Then we have the "music" from the Top Ten which is broadcast between inanities spoken by Dick Clark. Dick was inane even before he had a stroke. For years, everyone has watched New Years with Dick Clark. I didn't. This year, I tuned out when "Black Eyed Peas" came on. This is fun?
Times Square and New York City were important sixty years ago, but time has passed them by. I hate this stuff.

History: A Few High Points
© MMX V.1.0.8
Dear Mr. Evans:
So you don't foresee a time, thirty or forty years from now, when St. Peter's Basilica is turned into a mosque, and the Michelangelo frescoes are painted over? And the remaining white Westerners are too deracinated to care, or resist?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
No, I definitely do not. If churches are turned into McDonald's Restaurants it will be because Christians no longer care. Looking at all the empty pews today, that may be a possibility. People are not perfect, but if one compares Christians and Muslims they, Muslims, have a better record than Christians. We can look at history:
About three hundred years after Christ (313), Constantine converted to Christianity and established Constantinople on the Bosporus where the ancient Greek city of Byzantium had stood for millennia. Constantinople was the centre of Christianity and the Roman Empire. The city of Rome, and Italy, were rivals for leadership of Christianity and trade. Constantinople was very rich because everything coming from the east (China and India where they had all the good stuff) went through the Bosporus on its way to Italy and the rest of Europe.
About six hundred years after Christ (610), Mohammad established Islam.
There was a mass conversion to Islam across the world: the Middle East and North Africa. Islam was then adopted across Asia in the demise of the Mongol Empire, on the Indian subcontinent with the Mogul conquest, down to IndoChina and on to Brunei at the edge of the Pacific. In Anatolia, Muslims had been at war for centuries with Constantinople (then called the Byzantine Empire). The Roman Catholic Church broke away from the Orthodox Catholic Church about 1,000 years ago (1054) and claimed to be to the true Christian church. Shortly after the schism, the Emperor in Constantinople asked his brother Christians in Rome to help the Byzantine Empire with its enemy, the Muslims. The Crusades were the answer.
The Crusades lasted for several centuries. The Christians, generally speaking, were bloodthirsty maniacs who showed no mercy. The Muslims, generally speaking, were their opposites. A few highlights:
In the First Crusade, when the Frankish Crusaders first took Jerusalem (1066), they were met with fierce resistance by Muslims and Jews. After the Crusaders had won, they slaughtered everyone inside, every man woman and child. No one was spared. Richard Cour de Lion, led the Norman war machine on the Third Crusade (1190). He was joined by the German king, Barbarosa. We should remember that the northern Europeans were among the last converts to Christianity, which may explain why they were so far away from peace, the message of Jesus. Maybe not. In the Fourth Crusade, the Doge (Duke) of Venice, that nice old Christian man, agreed to rent ships to take the Crusaders to the Holy Land. To pay for their passage, the Doge had the Crusaders make a little side trip to Constantinople so they could sack the city (1204). Yes, indeedy. Venice became a really rich city after that. Much of the treasure in museums in Venice today was stolen from Constantinople then. The Ninth Crusade was the last Medieval Crusade. It ended in 1272.
"Saladin was a great Muslim leader. His real name was Salah al-Din Yusuf. He united and lead the Muslim world and in 1187, he recaptured Jerusalem for the Muslims after defeating the [Crusader] King of Jerusalem at the Battle of Hattin near the Lake of Galilee. When his soldiers entered the city of Jerusalem, they were not allowed to kill civilians, rob people or damage the city. The more successful Saladin was, the more he was seen by the Muslims as being their natural leader." Saladin was a Kurd.
When the Ottomans finally defeated the Byzantine Empire in 1453, the city was not sacked — despite over eight hundred years of war with the Christians. The Aya Sophia, which had been the largest church in Christendom, was converted to a mosque. The Sultan instructed his architects to cover the beautiful frescos in such a way that they would not be damaged. Today, over 500 years later, the Aya Sophia is being restored as a museum and the coverings are being removed to reveal the original treasures. People in the Ottoman Empire lived together for 600 years, Sunni and Shi'ite Muslims, Orthodox Catholics, Roman Catholics, Protestants, Druze, and Jews. Things changed when the Ottoman Empire was destroyed by Great Britain after World War One (1918). Somehow, ancient hatreds flared up after the Americans invaded Iraq in 2003. Had people there been quietly waiting for centuries for an opportunity to get at each other? What was true in Mesopotamia was true also in the European side of the Ottoman Empire. Somehow peaceful relations that had lasted for centuries erupted into bloody sectarian violence in the former Yugoslavia (1992-95). This is the story also in Palestine and Lebanon throughout the 20th century. Things were better for everyone who had lived in the Ottoman Empire.
Today, the Orthodox Catholic Church is headquartered where it has been for almost two thousand years, in Constantinople, which has been called "Istanbul" since 1453. In India, where the Mogul Empire controlled the subcontinent for hundreds of years, most people are still Hindus and India has more Muslims than Pakistan. The Reformation was founded upon ancient Greek and Roman learning that survived because it was adopted and protected by Muslims — who also adopted and protected the Jews.
At the other end of the Mediterranean at the time of the Fall of Constantinople, The kingdoms of Castile and Aragon united with the marriage of Ferdinand and Isabella. They drove the Moors out of Iberia in 1492. They stole all the property of anyone who didn't convert to Christianity and Isabella inaugurated the Spanish Inquisition to expose "Conversos" who were Jews who had only pretended to convert. Isabella knew who they were. They were her relatives! Yes, Indeedy. Christians? In 1492, you may remember, Columbus (who was an Italian from Genoa) sailed the ocean blue. Columbus was followed by the Conquistadores and the Roman Catholic Church. The world-wide Spanish Empire was established. Gold and silver from the New World was looted and sent to Spain. Indigenous people were conquered, slaughtered or enslaved. Yes, indeedy.
Christians?
The Spanish Empire started to fade around the time of the Spanish Armada debacle in 1588 and the British Empire started its rise as the world hegemond with the explorations in 1497 of John Cabot (another Italian navigator). But Great Britain, so-named by James I in 1601, had been a power to be reckoned with since The Norman Conquest in 1066. Great Britain was the top dog for much of the millennium. British supremacy only came to an end in 1945 when the British Empire was subsumed by the U.S. Empire where power would be safe inside a continental fortress with a really big moat, the Atlantic Ocean and the Pacific Ocean.
So there you have it: A summary that includes most of the high points in the last two thousand years. Christians today should be aware of what Christians have done in the past. They should ask the question, "What did this misbehavior have to do with the gospel?" No, we were not "defending ourselves." What did Jesus teach about "defence" in any case?
Underwear Bombs
©MMX V.1.0.9
As I am doing my correspondence, Larry King Live is on my TV. I am watching with the sound off, as usual. Today, President Obama, "The Commander in Chief" read the riot act to the Department of Homeland Security and the other agencies responsible for making Americans safe. A failed terror attack on Christmas Day was an unforgivable lapse in security, the President intoned.
A young man with a bomb in his pants was apprehended on a plane that had flown into Detroit. The bomb failed to detonate. Everyone in the United States, and the Free World, is threatened by this person and what might have happened, we were told. Really? Had his bomb exploded, a jet plane would have been damaged and several passengers would have been wounded and perhaps some would have been killed. What if everyone had been killed? Americans kill that many in Iraq and Afghanistan and on American highways every day.
Western Civilization and the United States of America are not threatened by people with shoe bombs and explosive underwear. We are all threatened, however, by the people who would "defend us." They are rounding us up and driving us into shelters where we will be "safe." They are injecting us with questionable vaccines and filling us with pharmaceutical drugs. They are creating enemies everywhere. People everywhere are afraid of us. Some hate us. Have you ever wondered why? The media churns hysteria and panic. The United States looks like Israel. Both places are run by Zionists. If I could, I would pull the chain and flush our "security establishment" kit and caboodle down the commode along with our leaders.
This farce leaves me speechless, but I'll do my best. We live amongst the dumbest people in history, a population which has been created by the public education system and the media. We are lead by imbeciles and psychopaths. CNN is now displaying yet more herds of would-be travellers waiting in airports; here is John Negroponte, James Carville, Joan Rivers ("tonight's special guest"), and a beautiful babe from the Republican Party. They will tell us what it all means.
This is entertainment today. I have the sound turned off on my TV which I watch occasionally out of the corner of one eye, when the TV is turned on. I don't buy anything they advertise. I don't buy anything they say.
I am very concerned. But this is a farce. Let's laugh!
