The American Century

The American Century began in 1900 with the defeat of the decrepit 500-year old Spanish Empire. That was easy. The American Century reached its zenith in 1945 with the Great Victory of 45 but then the American Century began to sputter by 1975 with the Debacle in Vietnam. The American Century essentially was over by 2000 when plans were being made to revive Washington's fortunes with even more sculduggery in 2001. We have been doomed by our excesses. Good riddance. It didn't take long as empires go. What can't go on forever doesn't go on forever.
