This graph clearly indicates who owns and produces the world's oil. It also indicates why it is necessary for the world's hegemon and largest consumer of oil (that's us, or U.S.) to hold a gun at their heads. Of the largest producers, only Iran is not completely dominated by the United States. When Iraq's Saddam got uppity he had to be killed and Iraq had to be destroyed as an example to the others.
