Andrew Wakefield was viciously attacked for innocuously suggesting the MMR vaccine might possibly require further investigation. He has been stricken from the register and pilloried as a dangerous quack.
Who is endangered by Dr Wakefield and others who ask questions? Oh, the people who most object to such an investigation are the very ones who have something to hide. Everyone knows by default which is lying, and it's not the one who asks questions.
Aristotle may have categorized this phenomenon. I'll have to look it up. Aristotle certainly categorized the ad hominem attack used to discredit the questioner without addressing his concerns.
Galileo, Charles Darwin, and Martin Luther are three historical figures who raised questions that disagreed with the establishment narrative. History has proved what they said.
Not everyone who disagrees with the establishment narrative is correct. Lenin and Marx were wrong. Some things they said may have been true, but not essential. Tremendous effort was made by the Soviets to make Marxism-Leninism work.
Stalin was the Gold Standard of dictatorship. Stalin created the Soviet Union and ran it for thirty years. By contrast, Hitler created NAZI Germany and ran it for twelve years. The Soviet Union defeated NAZI Germany and became a world-class superpower under Stalin. That doesn't prove the system. Marxism-Leninism worked when Stalin ran it. His successors couldn't make it work. Neither could Lenin, before Stalin! Nevertheless, some Americans want to overthrow capitalism with socialism. Will these Americans fail? Life is a work in progress. The Soviet people would no longer sacrifice their lives at the expense of the military. The American people can learn from them.
David Irving has raised questions about Winston Churchill, Hitler, the NAZI Party and the Holocaust. God forbid! Is nothing sacred? Austria put him in prison. Julian Assange has raised questions about American foreign policy. What could be more sacred than that? Does he have no respect for our heroes? Assange is rotting in a British dungeon awaiting 175 years of torture in an American prison. Norman Finkelstein is the only Jew they won't let into the Jewish State. These scoundrels have presented facts that disagree with official narratives. They have been destroyed, but the truth will survive.
