Here is Chris Kresser, L. Ac (California licensed acupuncturist), on the famous China Study which claims to be the last word on vegan diets and disease, but is it? Kresser says it ain't. You had better have a look.

Promoting fruits and vegetables — which I do — does not necessarily mean advocating eating only fruits and vegetables — which I do not do. There are many essential nutrients that are not contained in fruits and vegetables. Vitamin D is one of them. Despite decades of intense propaganda to the contrary, fat is good for you and you need it. Contrary to popular opinion, avoiding fat will not make you thin and it can make you fat.
