Safety First: always, always. Greg was very lucky. He posted this on StrongLifts.com to warn other lifters that safety must always be a weight lifter's top priority. Greg is an experienced lifter who is strong. He was warming up here to bench 315 pounds. He was alone too. It took a few weeks to get over his embarrassment over a near-fatal event. Greg takes chances no longer. Safety rails in a squat cage are essential. He always uses them now. It's better to be safe than dead. Stay strong.
