For the Christmas season 2008, we are being treated by the "mainstream" media to yet another spectacle from the Holy Land as the crusader fortress known as "The State of Israel" carries out its latest campaign against the people who are unfortunate enough to live in the Gaza Strip. Bear in mind that the Palestinians never had and do not now have an army, airforce, navy, OR MONEY while the Israelis have the best of everything that their patron, the United States of America, can provide.
Political Milestones in Palestine:
1878 - Rothschild colony established inside the Ottoman Empire.
1895 - Herzl provides a racist-paranoiac ideology to found a Jewish State
1920 - British Mandate protects Jewish colonies in Palestine
1920 - Haganah, Irgun, Stern Gang, the Mufti and Arab riots
1946 - The Holocaust affirms Herzl's thesis for believers - eliminates rest
1948 - State of Israel - patronage transferred to the U.S. Empire (Truman)
1956 - Suez Crisis (Eisenhower asserts U.S. world domination)
1958 - Dimona nuclear reactor provided by France for peaceful purposes
1963 - Kennedy assassination (Ben Gurion frustrated by JFK over nukes)
1965 - on-going atom bomb and other technology transfers begin (LBJ)
1967 - Six Day War with U.S. intelligence support for Israeli attack (LBJ)
2008 - racist-paranoiacs have run amok for 130 years (1878 to 2008)
Cause and effect are used to justify actions: "He hit me first. I was only defending myself." Currently, the largely ineffectual home-made rockets launched from Gaza are being used to justify more wholesale bombing which has killed hundreds more Palestinians and destroyed more property in Gaza. Gaza has been sealed off by Israel for years and its people have been starving as they have endured bombing, "surgical strikes", incursions and Israeli snipers. "Israel has the right to defend itself." Don't the Palestinians have a right to defend themselves? Who hit whom first? The simple fact is that Israel is a colonial project which has been carved out of Palestine. Palestine has been owned by Palestinians since time immemorial — regardless of any claptrap one tries to make out of Genesis. Egypt is a vassal of the United States, as are Jordan and Saudi Arabia, the Gulf Emirates and Iraq (where the Empire is currently having a spot of bother with the wogs). Lebanon is caught betwixt and between. Iran is preparing to be invaded by the Empire. Afghanistan has already been invaded by the Empire. Nuclear war between Pakistan and India (currently an ally of Israel and the United States) is in the offing. The rest of the Muslim world sits quietly hoping to avoid a U.S./Israeli attack. That is why the people in those countries are outraged by the complicity of their own governments in the on-going persecution and destruction of the Palestinians. Does the tail wag the dog? Does Israel run the United States? Sometimes it looks as if it does. Based upon what Obama has said so far, NO CHANGE can be expected in Washington after January 20th when Obama becomes the POTUS at his Inauguration. Peace on Earth may come, but not next year. The Middle East "Peace Process" is a farce, and it has always been a farce. This would be perfectly clear to everyone, by now.
BUT the world-wide mind control system, AKA the "mainstream" media does have an effect on what people think and it is owned by friends of the State of Israel.
The "mainstream" media persistently calls this abominable situation "the Israeli-Palestinian conflict" implying some military parity while it rewrites history. Do they suggest there was parity between the Warsaw ghetto and the Wehrmacht? Why not?
WARNING: Some policy-makers in Washington think WW III will be "good for business" since both WW I and WW II were good for the U.S.A. and its Empire. BEWARE. Don't support war and war-mongers.

Slime
© MMVIII version 1.0.3
I have included an article from SLATE that examines Dick Cheney the soon-to-be FORMER Vice President of the U.S.A. Dick Cheney (or just "Dick, you dick") is proof positive of the political theory that asserts that the worst people in any society rise to the top. This rule is only disproved when one believes history as it has been written by the people at the top. Then, only the losers look like psychopaths while the winners, those who have written the only history that exists for the rabble to study, are always portrayed as noble, kind, wise, brave, just and good.
Lord Acton formulated the reason that slime rises to the top: "I cannot accept your canon that we are to judge Pope and King unlike other men with a favourable presumption that they did no wrong. If there is any presumption, it is the other way, against the holders of power, increasing as the power increases. Historic responsibility has to make up for the want of legal responsibility. Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Great men are almost always bad men, even when they exercise influence and not authority: still more when you superadd the tendency or certainty of corruption by authority. There is no worse heresy than that the office sanctifies the holder of it." [1]
It must be added that people rise to the top not merely because they are corrupt: many laudable characteristics are requisite to rise. Study the Scottish play, MacBeth. The Holy Bible, itself, is a long tale which places Israel's king and its established church on one side and The Lord God and His prophets on the other. The prophets were never part of the establishment. Neither was Jesus who is part of the long line of prophets. The Holy Bible, is largely about slime rising to the top and efforts to encourage repentance and reform or bad things will happen. When warnings go unheeded, bad things happen. (Most of that stuff floating on top is not cream, whatever it might say about itself.)
The Lord God knows the difference between cream and slime.
Make no mistake, Dick Cheney is slime. Some people start out decent and then become slime as they rise. Others, like Dick Cheney, were slime even before they acquired power. You can go back to his early career in Wyoming and see what he was doing then. Don't be fooled by the OREO, Barack Obama. The current dreary saga will continue after his Inauguration. It will not CHANGE (Obama's campaign slogan), at least not for the better.
Merry Christmas!

Detroit in Crisis
© MMVIII v 1.0.3
My grandfather, A.W. Evans, became a Ford dealer in the Twenties and remained a Ford dealer until the late Sixties, when their little farm town, Glenavon, could no longer support the Ford dealership. His three sons were into cars. Two went to work for Ford after The War. One continued Evans Motors. My father worked for Ford Motor Company after The War in the Ford office in Regina. Our family has always driven Fords, except for a 1961 Morris Mini Minor and a 1961 Fiat 600 Seicento. Chances are that I will always drive a Ford as long as they make good ones.
General Motors replaced Ford as the world's number one automaker in 1933. Henry Ford II took over the Ford Motor Company during The War and brought it back from the dead. My father always thought General Motors would remain the number one automaker forever and that Ford would be lucky to come second. But for luck, and the generosity of General Motors, Chrysler would have been gone fifty years ago, following into history Hudson, Studebaker, American Motors, and dozens of other American car makers.
Unlike filmmaker, Michael Moore, I have a soft spot for the automotive business. I like 'em all, not just American cars. I love Italian cars, especially Ferrari, Maserati, and Lamborghini.
I was appalled to see Michael Moore a few nights ago on Larry King. He positively HATES General Motors. Moore believes that all American automakers should be driven out of business, or, failing that, that the lawmakers should "do what FDR did", take charge and MAKE them build better cars while building a rapid transit system and protecting the environment to boot.
Michael Moore's family all worked for General Motors (on the line in Flint). Moore places blame squarely on the heads of "management".
"Did you have a good childhood, Michael," King wondered?
"Oh sure, we lived a prosperous middle class life," Moore replied. "As General Motors workers, our family was paid more than other families. We had four weeks holidays every summer and we had retirement and health benefits too. But General Motors built lousy cars and they controlled the buying public with lies."
"Are the others the same," King asked?
"The same. They are all the same."
HATE HATE HATE. I think Larry King was getting tired of Moore. I was tired of him. Why doesn't he shave?
The truth is that Honda, Mitsubishi, Nissan and Toyota are in exactly the same business as General Motors, Ford, and Chrysler. They aren't building a rapid transit system, they are building cars. And the cars they are building are pretty similar to the cars American companies build.
"Just drive one of the imports around the block. You'll see the difference," Moore opined.
Actually, you won't see much difference because they all build cars the consumers want to buy.
My 1961 Morris Mini Minor got 50 MPG. I drove it through the Rocky Mountains in January to Vancouver and back to Regina. My Mini was one of few cars and trucks to get through record snows in Rogers Pass that winter. It made the trip without chains or snow tires! It was a dandy little car. The Mini had heart. But it was missing lots of things that people want more than 50 MPG, even today, things like a good heater. Yes, my 1961 Mini was a frosty little beast in November, December, January, February and March. I had to scrape the windshield inside while driving. The new Mini, which is built by BMW, is a much better car, but it doesn't get 50 MPG.
It's easy to get 50 MPG if one strips everything out and makes the car light and small with an 850 cc engine. Every pound one adds, has a cost. They could even build a fast powerful car that would get 50 MPG, but it would cost as much as a Lamborghini and it would not be as fast.
I'm afraid Michael Moore doesn't know what he's talking about — Moore is full of beans. That came through loud and clear on Larry King. The UAW/CAW is a major reason, possibly the only reason, American and Canadian autoworkers are in trouble. I am amazed how many people in the press share Moore's opinion. NY Senator Charles Schumer is full of it too, along with the Democrats who loaded the gun the UAW put against the heads of the American automakers all these decades.
Why aren't Honda, Toyota, Nissan, Mitsubishi, Subaru, Kia, Hyundai, Daimler, BMW, Volkswagen and the rest, forced to have the same labour costs as General Motors, Ford and Chrysler? Why doesn't Schumer demand that Wall Street provide Congress with a "business plan" for the trillions of dollars Wall Street firms have already been given by Washington? "Maybe they'll be back for more." Maybe Wall Street will be back for more. Bets? Maybe the Democrats will erect trade barriers to protect American industry. That is what Democrats have always done. Or is it too late to do that? Maybe they will start WWIII. Starting wars is what Democrats are good at too: WWI, WWII, the Korean War and the War in Vietnam were all Democratic wars.
It is not realistic to expect the North American auto market to be 99% "owned" by three companies, with one company getting the lion's share. Before the Fifties, there were many American auto manufacturers. After that, there have been growing numbers of imports, starting with Volkswagen and British Motor Corporation. BMC was once the largest motor company in Great Britain. It has been gone for years. It was not saved by being big, though that was the plan.
Returning to Ford, when one looks around the world, Ford sells cars. It has been the market leader in Great Britain for almost thirty years. It has a U.K. market share around 15% as it does in many other places. Ford does not own the market anywhere. It competes with dozens of other manufacturers. Outside the U.S., Ford is profitable. Building and selling cars is fiercely competitive. The competition is good. They learned from the best. If American automakers are destroyed and hundreds of thousands are thrown out of work, Americans can thank the people in Washington whose fingerprints are on the knives that are in the backs of GM, Ford and Chrysler. Autoworkers can thank their unions too.

HIGH FINANCE part 2
MMVIII v 1.0.7
Money has evolved over millennia through trial and error. Gold was adopted because gold is scarce — most importantly, new gold cannot be created out of thin air. But most people would like to win the lottery and politicians like to give people what they want so they can get elected and stay in power.
Democracy insures that people get what they want, and that they will get it good and hard.
John Maynard Keynes [1], with whom the great philosopher Bertrand Russell [2] was greatly impressed, dismissed gold as a relic of the past. After the Second World War, Keynes and Harry Dexter White helped devise the world's financial system known as Breton Woods. Following The Great Victory of 1945, when the evil fascists had been defeated in history's greatest bloodbath, the United States replaced Great Britain as the world's financial, military, political and cultural hegemon. The United Nations was created in San Francisco and then located in New York City, the world's most important city, after Washington. Building a better world with a bright future had begun. Decency would reign evermore. . .
The United States of America assumed the very important task of protecting the world from communism.
Breton Woods retained gold payments for foreign exchange, but gold had already been abolished by Franklin Roosevelt in 1933 when the American dollar became no longer redeemable in gold. [3] When Breton Woods collapsed in 1971, Richard Nixon "closed the gold window" because gold was flowing out of the United States to other countries [4] — clear evidence that inflation existed and that the U.S. dollar was losing value against other currencies.
Politicians love inflation. Politicians have always loved inflation. Creating money out of nothing is like magic. One can buy anything one wants. One can spend oneself into prosperity. The sky is the limit!
Richard Nixon disconnected the world's financial system from gold and opened the door to China. Nixon's predecessor, Lyndon Baines Johnson, paid for The Great Society, the space program, and the War in Vietnam with inflation. Their successor, Jimmy Carter, appointed Paul Volker [5] to deal with "stagflation" — the economy was moribund, yet prices were rising.
How does inflation work? New money is added to an economy. The first people to get this new money spend it before vendors realize there is more money in circulation. These purchasers get good value, at first. But soon vendors realize that people are willing to pay more because they have more money to spend, so vendors raise their prices. They don't have to know anything else. Purchasers compete against each other as they would in any auction. Prices go up, wealth is not increasing.
With gold standard money, prices decline as wealth (abundance) increases. The 19th century provides many good examples.
Spain suffered from stagflation when gold and silver were looted from the Aztec and Inca empires in the 16th century. These treasures added "new money" and lead to the decline of Spain. There are other examples.
Alan Greenspan [6] worked magic as the Chairman of the Federal Reserve and blew the bubble that has just burst, creating a world-wide financial meltdown. During Greenspan's tenure, low interest rates were used to create "new money" but prices were not rising, so The Fed and the politicians could say there was no inflation. Why were prices not rising? Because high quality low-priced goods were being imported from China and other places. People were buying these instead of higher-priced goods made by workers in domestic industry. Domestic jobs were being 'exported' as the unions said.
"How can we buy anything if we are unemployed," American workers asked? Good question. You can't. So Americans stopped buying and Chinese have been thrown out of work too. Ominous signs were appearing months ago. Imports have been slowing down since the spring of 2008. Now, the Big Three Detroit auto manufacturers are facing bankruptcy along with their subcontractors and hundreds of thousands of executives and workers.
More is coming.
Politicians and their Wizards cannot be trusted with the world's financial system. Their solution to inflation is usually more inflation. (In the Thirties, The Fed went wild and shrank U.S. money by a third, creating the world-wide Great Depression.) Inflation will work as well as putting out a fire by throwing gasoline onto it. A gold financial standard is required along with honesty in banking and in the equity and debt markets. The hucksters of Wall Street should go to jail. They should not be given trillion-dollar bailouts. Stock brokers do not represent "capitalism" any more than do real estate salesmen or shoe shine boys, nor do the crooks in Washington and other capitals represent "capitalism".
Gold is not a relic, nor is honesty. Greed is not a virtue and never was.

The State
© MMVIII v 1.0.6
The State is the zenith of power. State-level civilization emerged in the Bronze Age and replaced Stone Age chieftainism.
Around the Mediterranean, Greek city states, Troy, the Kingdom of David, Carthage, Etruscan civilization, early Egypt, and others appeared then. Sumer was established in Mesopotamia. Early kingdoms in China and India developed in the Bronze Age too. As states developed new military organizations and iron (as steel) weapons, they conquered rivals and ushered in the Iron Age. Alexander the Great [1] and the first Chinese emperor [2] created huge empires with these advantages. The Romans were always frustrated trying to equal the achievements of Alexander.
Today, the Iron Age has given way to the Silicon Age and things may be changing.
State structure is pyramidal: a tiny élite controls everyone else and appropriates their product. The emperor is supported by his court, which includes his family and friends, a priest-hood along with a bureaucracy (mandarins) and the military which is the instrument of power. The main purpose of The State, since it was created about 5,500 years ago, is plunder. The State is a criminal enterprise.
Man's proudest achievement, The State, is mirrored in nature by the army ant — which evolved legionary behaviour millions of years before man.
Today's "democratic" states are essentially identical to Egypt, or Imperial Rome. In the United States of America, 545 people control over 300 million people — many of whom think their sovereigns work for them! The U.S. military enforces a world-wide empire. Plunder is its main purpose. Talk of "spreading 'democracy'", "human rights" or "defence" is just baloney created for domestic consumption.
Barack Obama was elected POTUS by millions of Americans who were outraged by the excesses of George W. Bush and the Republicans. But as Obama prepares for the transfer of power, we see the same old Democrats will be moving in to replace the Republicans. Obama campaigned for CHANGE. But, in fact, not much will change. Different hogs will be feeding at the trough. Many were there before the Republicans took control of Congress in 1995 after 40 years of Democratic control.
Change may be in the works anyway: 3rd generation military aggression is no longer working against 4th generation stateless military defence (Iraq and Afghanistan); the U.S.A. is bankrupt and has lost its mojo; the losers of the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries (especially India, Japan, Germany and China) are becoming the winners in the 21st century.
Those who are first soon will be last, for the times they are a-changin'.

President Obama
© MMVIII v 1.0.3
Is Obama going to make any difference in the US foreign policy options in the world, and particularly the Middle East?
No, 'fraid not.
Obama spent about 700 MILLION U.S. DOLLARS to get elected. (McCain spent about half that, making the tab this year over a BILLION dollars to run for POTUS.) Obama didn't raise that much with nickel and dime donors on the Internet. Every U.S. President owes his ass to 1). the Pentagon, 2). Wall Street, 3). War Contractors, and 4). BIG OIL. They must also kiss the feet of Israel. Nobody else matters. The only thing we can count on for a change in U.S. foreign policy is that the United States of America is bankrupt. The U.S. National Debt this hour is $10,638,340,843,488.62. This is currently increasing by about 500 billion dollars a year. That's a lot of jack. No one believes that debt will ever be paid off by anyone. Washington's plan (and Obama's too) is to borrow more money to spend the way out of bankruptcy. Where do you think the Wall Street bailout is coming from? The U.S. Empire has gone the same way as the Soviet Union. Most importantly, no one believes in the U.S. Empire anymore. That is what happened to the U.S.S.R. The U.S. Empire was doomed before the neocons and George W. Bush, but they are the ones who finished the work. Afghanistan and Pakistan did in the Soviet Union and stymied the British Empire too. In destroying Iraq, Bush destroyed America. Israel, as an outpost of the Empire, will have to rethink relations with its neighbours.
George W. Bush has been trying to start World War Three. World War Two worked well to put the U.S. Empire on top, but time is almost up for Bush. Obama and Clinton and Biden have four more years to start World War Three, so don't get too comfortable. The Great Depression Two may have started. We can blame it on Bush.
When the U.S. invaded Afghanistan, Washington believed the U.S.A. had become omnipotent. They believed that they could rewrite the laws of physics and do anything they wanted to anyone they chose. Guess not. The Greeks said: Before the gods destroy someone, first they will make him proud. Guess so. Power reinforced with inflation is a lethal drug. Addicts, like the politicians in Washington, always think they have become gods before they die.

HIGH FINANCE part 1
BANKS
© MMVIII v 1.0.1
Banks pay depositors "interest" for storing their money. Banks earn income by loaning out money for "interest". The "interest rate" banks pay is less than the interest rate banks charge. That is how banks earn profits.
That's it.
All things being equal, the more money banks lend, the more money banks can earn. What is the limit? How much money a bank has, limits what a bank can lend.
Otherwise, banks could loan out money they don't have. You could do that too. They could loan out money that doesn't exist. Money would be created out of thin air.
Not so long ago, modern banks were repositories of gold. Depositors stored gold in bank vaults. Banks issued receipts to depositors. Depositors began using these receipts in exchange for other things, transferring a portion of their gold to someone else. These bank receipts were money.
Banks issued their own money which was redeemable in gold.
Banks today no longer do this. But you can still buy gold and store it in a vault in New York, London or Zurich.
http://www.bullionvault.com/
You could go there, right now, and buy a 400 Troy ounce 99.5% pure "good delivery" gold bar for about $300,000 USD. (Prices vary by the minute.) You would likely never see your gold. You would get a receipt, just the way it once was.
You can, of course, buy smaller amounts of gold.
Your gold would be safely stored in a vault run by Via Mat, a Swiss company like Brinks, which specializes in secure storage and transportation of valuable property.
Banks can no longer be trusted to do what they once did.
Banks like to maximize the amount of money loaned out which is earning money for the bank. Today banks are fractional-reserve lenders. By law, they only need to have a small percentage on deposit of what they lend out. "... nowadays banks operate the wrong kind of business to be willing and reliable custodians of your gold."
http://goldnews.bullionvault.com/houseview/banking_on_gold
Let's not forget that the money that banks loan is not their own, it belongs to depositors — even if banks had 100% reserves made up of other people's money. But they don't even have that. So they are creating money out of thin air, without any help from the central banks. But central banks are another story . . .

MERCK THE EVIL
© MMVIII v 1.0.2
Merck once was a good pharmaceutical company, I am told. [1]
But Merck cared not one whit about me or what ZOCOR did to me. [2] If Merck once was good, Merck must have been taken over by the dark side at some point. Now, Merck cares only for mammon.
Merck created the cholesterol hoax with MEVACOR. Then, when its patents expired, Merck brought ZOCOR onto the market. These drugs create myopathy and rheumatoid symptoms. But these were ignored as cholesterol lowering drugs soared in profitability to make CLDs the most profitable pharmaceutical line in history.
A few years ago, Merck revolutionized the rheumatiod pain relief market with VIOXX (which was another non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug, like aspirin). Then, it was discovered that VIOXX could cause heart attacks, so it was taken off the market. But not before a very large judgement against Merck was rendered in Texas, which is famous for very large things.
Today, Merck is at it again with GARDASIL. [3] The plan is to inoculate every girl AND HAVE THE GOVERNMENT PAY FOR IT. Merck does not care what happens to your daughter. Merck cares about M.O.N.E.Y.
After what Merck did to me, I hope there is a warm place in Hell reserved for the masters of Merck. Maybe they will be able to take VIOXX to relieve their pain, but I doubt it will help. Roast in Hell, boys.
Merck brought us these winners: Lovastatin (Mevacor), Zocor, Vioxx, Fosamax, Gardasil. Some day soon, Merck, you will be getting yours.

In God We Trust

"In God We Trust" is the official motto of the United States of America. The moto on the money refers to mammon. The God We Trust is Money. Money is the one true god. We are in a panic now that our idol has been destroyed. Our magnificent edifice turned out not to be a Temple, but only a house of cards. Nothing was inside. Poof!

THE WAR by Morley Evans
© MMVIII v 1.0.5
This document examines the trials of the German leadership after WW II, especially the International Military Tribunal at Nuremberg. It does not question the deaths of millions of Jews at the hands of the Nazis during the Second World War. It does raise questions about the Holocaust story as it has been told over and over for 60 years. (Telling this story has become a very profitable business, as Norman G. Finkelstein has pointed out.) This document might be classified as criminal under Canadian law. Distributing it could be a hate crime in Canada. The article on Wikipedia which deals with deaths in WW II could also be classified as a hate crime because it "diminishes the Holocaust" by including tens of millions of Soviets, Chinese, Poles, Indonesians and others along with Jews.
What really happened in WW II is important. It directly affects what we are doing today and who we think we are.
To Other Losses by James Bacque, which revealed nearly a million Germans were killed by the U.S. Army and the French after WW II (Eisenhower, et al), we can add: those millions who were killed by the Germans on the eastern front, especially the Poles (about 1/2 of the Polish population were Jews); the Soviets who, themselves, killed large numbers of Poles before Operation Barbarosa; the Japanese who killed millions of people in the Dutch East Indies (Indonesia) as well as millions of Chinese, and of course the Americans, again, who fire-bombed flat the world's largest city, Tokyo, before they dropped atom bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The British, those champions of decency and fair play, fire-bombed Dresden, Magdeburg and Berlin along with the massive night time bombing of the rest of Germany. Of Dresden, Churchill remarked, "Oh, I thought the Americans did it." The Americans for their part had bombed the hell out of Germany in the daytime.
On a bright note, the Nazis looked after their French, British and American prisoners of war: Ninety-eight percent of them returned home safely after the war. The Soviets too looked after their own prisoners of war, both Germans and Japanese. When 6th Army surrendered at Stalingrad, thousands had already died of starvation and frostbite. Those who reached camps in Siberia, received generous rations, despite short supplies in the Soviet Union. The commander of 6th Army, Friedrich Paulus, became a strident critic of Hitler and the Nazi regime while he was a prisoner in the Soviet Union. Germans who were lucky enough to be incarcerated in Canada and the United States, were often assigned work on farms "to support the war effort." Very few, if any, Japanese were so lucky: they either did not surrender, or they were shot when they did surrender. "No prisoners" was often our policy in Europe too.
All in all, the madness of WW II was shared by all. The story we have been told for sixty years is only partly true — we only hear the part which paints us as the noble underdogs and them as evil monsters. The rest of the story has been left out or it has been turned into a pack of lies. The roles combatants played were interchangeable. It is time we mourned the deaths of all the victims of the Second World War, sent warmongers packing, and committed ourselves to peace.
This debt is past due.

The Wicked Tenants
© MMVIII v1.0.0
Dear Seminarian,
Last night at EFM, we discussed the parable in Matthew 21: 33-45
All the Parables in this section are addressed to the Pharisees who were trying to confound Jesus. The passage below is from the oremus Bible Browser (NRSV). The KJV is also available at oremus.
Jesus outlines a series of crimes committed by tenants who refused to pay the landowner of a vineyard (who is God, himself). Of the slaves (the Prophets) sent to collect the produce, the tenants beat one, killed another, and stoned another. The landowner then sent more slaves who were treated in the same way. Finally, the landowner sent his son and the tenants killed him thinking they would be able to steal the land outright.
Jesus asks, What will the owner do to these tenants?
The Pharisees answer that the landowner will kill them and lease the land to others who will pay the rent.
That is the right answer! Jesus does not say it is the wrong answer but one might easily think he rebukes the Pharisees because they gave the wrong answer.
But Jesus does utter an apparent non sequitur:
‘Have you never read in the scriptures: “The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; this was the Lord’s doing, and it is amazing in our eyes”? Therefore I tell you, the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people that produces the fruits of the kingdom. The one who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces; and it will crush anyone on whom it falls.’
The Pharisees' own answer is the answer Jesus gives straight back to them: the landowner will lease the land to others who will produce the fruits of the kingdom. Jesus means the "Chosen People" are out because they are the wicked tenants.
This parable does not mean that nothing happens to the wicked tenants, as might be surmised by the unwary. The parable does not contain a contradiction.
'When the chief priests and the Pharisees heard his parables, they realized that he was speaking about them.'
What one does matters; who one is does not.

matthew 21:33-45 (NRSV)
The Parable of the Wicked Tenants
‘Listen to another parable. There was a landowner who planted a vineyard, put a fence around it, dug a wine press in it, and built a watch-tower. Then he leased it to tenants and went to another country. When the harvest time had come, he sent his slaves to the tenants to collect his produce. But the tenants seized his slaves and beat one, killed another, and stoned another. Again he sent other slaves, more than the first; and they treated them in the same way. Finally he sent his son to them, saying, “They will respect my son.” But when the tenants saw the son, they said to themselves, “This is the heir; come, let us kill him and get his inheritance.” So they seized him, threw him out of the vineyard, and killed him. Now when the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those tenants?’ They said to him, ‘He will put those wretches to a miserable death, and lease the vineyard to other tenants who will give him the produce at the harvest time.’
Jesus said to them, ‘Have you never read in the scriptures:
“The stone that the builders rejected
has become the cornerstone;
this was the Lord’s doing,
and it is amazing in our eyes”?
Therefore I tell you, the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people that produces the fruits of the kingdom. The one who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces; and it will crush anyone on whom it falls.’
When the chief priests and the Pharisees heard his parables, they realized that he was speaking about them.

“The stone that the builders rejected
has become the cornerstone;
this was the Lord’s doing,
and it is amazing in our eyes”?
Therefore I tell you, the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people that produces the fruits of the kingdom. The one who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces; and it will crush anyone on whom it falls.’
When the chief priests and the Pharisees heard his parables, they realized that he was speaking about them.

The Wrath of God

"No American should be allowed to forget that Iraqi society has been destroyed. The people of that unhappy land have lost everything -- their homes, their schools, their neighborhoods, their mosques, their jobs, their careers, their professionals, their health care, their legal system, their women's rights, their religious tolerance, their security, their past, their present, their future, their lives." - William Blum, American writer
No Canadian should be allowed to forget that friendly soft-spoken Steven Harper, with his shifty eyes, sly smarmy smile and blue sweaters, has hands that are dripping with the blood of innocents.
The day he became Prime Minister, Harper enthusiastically joined the war on Iraq/Iran/Afghanistan and sent Canadian soldiers off to kill people who have never lifted a finger to harm us. Harper turned peacekeepers into peacemakers. Canadian troops in Afghanistan exchanged forest green uniforms for American desert combat fatigues. Harper restocked the Canadian Forces with weapons from U.S. contractors bought with U.S. credit. Canada joined the Coalition of the Willing (to be bought).
Today, because of profligate war spending, the invincible U.S. dollar is on the skids. Washington has taken unprecedented steps to bail out Wall Street with $700 BILLION dollars to "prevent a financial meltdown." But the dollar cannot be saved. The melt-down is underway. It is spreading like wild fire. Panic and fear have gripped financial markets 'round the world. The era of American empire has ended to the applause of people who are fed up with the bully on the Potomac.
If the current financial readjustment turns into The Great Depression II, suffering Canadians can well wonder if this is The Wrath of God visited upon the wicked and their supporters.
On election day, next Tuesday, don't reward evil or evil-doers.

Before the United States and the Coalition of the Willing (to be bought), invaded Iraq in 2003, William Lind warned this would not be "a cakewalk" as was claimed by those promoting the war. Instead, Lind warned, the invasion would be like Syracuse.
Briefly: After it had been defeated in the second Peloponessian War, Athens rebuilt and found much of its former strength. Soon a scheme was hatched:
"Let's get everyone into our ships and attack Syracuse."
"Sure, we can beat them."
"After we sack Syracuse and steal their stuff, we'll be on top again."
"This will be a cakewalk."
So a massive expeditionary force set sail for far off Syracuse on the island of Sicily in the west.
But the gods were not smiling on Athens and things well badly.
One disaster after another befell the Athenians. Eventually the fleet was destroyed and every Athenian was killed or captured and enslaved, to die in chains working in the quarry. One survivor was allowed to return to Athens to tell the tale.
This was the end of the line for Athens.
The Peloponessian Wars seriously weakened Greece. Soon Phillip of Macedon would conquer all.
William Lind's warning was ignored by Washington in 2003. But his prophecy is coming true today.

The Future?

Good article. Thanks, Paul: http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/09/29/miron.bailout/index.html?iref=mpstoryview
According to the geniuses who "manage" our economies (like "The Maestro", Alan Greenspan), we don't have very much inflation today. Greenspan says the smart central bankers have created fiat currencies that work "just like gold."
But since Iraq was invaded in 2003, we commonly hear people talking in terms of billions of dollars and even trillions of dollars. A million dollars is just not that much any more. The Italian Lira is gone, gone, gone, replaced by the Euro. At the time it was abandoned (2004) the exchange rate was 1500 Lire to one U.S. dollar [1]. So a million dollars was 1,500,000,000 or one and a half billion Lire. Prices people see are the real indication of inflation, not what the central banks and national governments tell us.
For example, we have condos with price tags that would have been unheard of only a few years ago even for the most expensive houses in Regina. They have been priced by comparing what is for sale to what people have been paying. People here in Regina think the rising prices are an indication that we have hit big time prosperity here in Saskatchewan. We have resources to sell, dontchuknow? I think the rising prices and the ability to pay them is due to something less sanguine. We already have MONEY TO BURN. No money? No credit? No problem! Sign here: drive it off the lot, or move right in.
I watched luxury homes for sale in Las Vegas, recently. You get much much more luxury in Las Vegas today (where the subprime mortgage crisis has hit) than you do in Regina — for less money.
The U.S. economy (as it was) is in big trouble: a report from Long Beach, the Port of Los Angeles, says that imports from China have slowed down significantly. Why? Because Americans are buying less. They are even buying less low-priced stuff from China. They stopped buying high-priced American stuff long ago. American workers have asked how will they buy anything if no one buys what they are making. Good question. Canadian workers in Ontario are already waking up. Canadian government workers are still living in a dream world.
Someone I know just got a government job that pays more than $12,000, A MONTH — plus generous benefits.
Globalization will mean a general levelling at a much lower price level with greater abundance for everyone. Big Oil is already a big bust. Oil, the strategic resource upon which the 20th century economies were based, will be replaced with something else soon. In the near term: coal to liquid fuel, algal fuel, hydrogen/solar converters that make and store electricity. Centralization with its concomitant power in a few hands may disappear (I hope.) The Yankee Colossus is going the way of Rome. U.S. official world supremacy lasted from the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991 to the invasion of Iraq in 2003, but things have actually been going downhill since 1945 when the United States was at the zenith of its power.

700 BILLION?
© MMVIII v1.0.1
700 BILLION? Why stop there?
The fattest cats in the fat cat world are broke? If Wall Street gazillionaires become homeless, will they drag the rest of us down with them? Of course nobody wants to join them in line at the soup kitchen; we don't know these people. The U.S. government should bail them out.
Of course.
Why stop there? What about the rest of us? If Washington can give Wall Street 700 BILLION dollars, why can't they give the rest of us a bailout too? Everyone deserves a helping hand, not just the rich. Fair is fair.
If governments can simply write a cheque, they could abolish poverty. They could write everyone a cheque. Why not make them generous: great big fat cat cheques. One for everyone. Abolish poverty.
All it would take is political will. Everyone could have a chicken in the pot and a Lamborghini in the garage.
Why not?
Lamborghinis only get 5 mpg in the city, and even less at 200 mph, but once our cheques arrive it won't matter, we'll have MONEY TO BURN!

Placebo Effect
© MMVIII v1.0.0
Doctors themselves can have a placebo effect.
A "good doctor" might be the most important placebo effect in medicine.
If a doctor is confident and charming, he can instil tremendous confidence. Patients can feel better simply because the doctor makes them feel better. I have experienced this myself. If the doctor doesn't do any significant harm with whatever he prescribes ("side effects"), the patient's own body may get busy and heal itself. Even if what the doctor prescribes does have a benefit, the doctor himself may provide an additional benefit. I wonder if this has been considered in drug trials?
"Well, of course they do, stupid. Medical research scientists think of everything. They have billions of dollars."
This "physician placebo" doesn't work on me any more, however. I am very sceptical of doctors today, after 60 years of maltreatment and abuse at the hands of some doctors I have seen.
People often remember their doctors fondly and think they were great. Of course they would. The people who remember their doctors are alive. The others are dead, or — significantly — if they weren't happy with their doctor, no one listens to them so their opinions are those of the dead. Every system has enormous inertia. Every organization, itself, fights to survive.
"We don't want to know about this."
Shamans and witch doctors have always done exactly what modern doctors do. The costume of a white lab coat over a business suit with stethoscope hung from the neck, or a surgeon's green fatigues, has the same function as a mask, beads, rattles and feathers: They instil awe and confidence in the suffering and in their relatives. Billions of dollars spent annually on propaganda to sell products helps make the magic work: Every newscast contains a story about some medical breakthrough that will save lives and alleviate suffering. These are followed by pharmaceutical commercials that pay for the broadcast.

Dear Morley,
There are a few interesting thoughts in that piece - but I tend to stay away from theories about "Zionist control" over almost everything. It lets far too many people off the hook for their roles -- roles that were usually very active -- in bringing about and maintaining criminally unjust regimes and policies.
Are we to let people like Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, Condi Rice, George Bush and the rest of their criminal buddies get away with the hundreds of thousands of murders for which they are directly responsible -- all because "the Zionists control them"? Not in my opinion.
As I'm sure you would agree, the theory of Jewish/Zionist world control - financially, politically, and so on, is a lot of nonsense and fantasy. Individuals have free will and independent minds. They are not somehow magically directed by Jews to do whatever they (the Jews) want. That's the stuff of good, old fashioned anti-semitic hogwash. Worst of all, such theories (of Zionist control) are a gift to the Zionists and Jews who can then turn around and say, "see?!? this is why we need a state of our own; people will never stop hating us and blaming us for the world's problems."
We need to see things for what they are: Zionist power rests on the fact that what Israel wants fits in so well with US national security interests, or that both Israel and the US use each other to further their own goals. How cosy for each, no?
I'm sure you know what I mean.
As for the Palestinians - and God really being on their side, well... I've always believed that God is on the side of the Just, and Just people come in all shapes, sizes, ethnicities, religions, nationalities, etc.
My own opinion is that life for the people of Palestine is getting worse and worse and harder and harder by the day. I don't have much hope for their survival as a national group that will one day have its own state. But I do think that their legacy will continue to educate people as to the horrors of occupations, ethnic cleansings, torture, harassment and so on.
Off to get dinner for the family.
Peace,
Jennifer

The Big Question
© MMVIII v 1.1.1
DON"T FORGET: Not all Zionists are Jews and not all Jews are Zionists. . .
Palestine is such a depressing subject. But wait, has this occurred to anyone?
Zionists have been waging war on the Palestinians with modern weapons and sophisticated military organization for 130 years. Zionists have had the help and protection of powerful friends in London and Washington all that time. Today, the Israelis have an army, a navy, and an airforce. They have billions of dollars to spend annually. They get it from the United States. Zionists seem to have everyone's sympathy too. The world-wide Zionist-controlled mainstream media (the mind-control system) holds everyone who sees it in thrall. Israeli intelligence operators have infiltrated and subverted Palestinian organizations. What's left of Palestine is being carved up by Israeli settlements, by-pass roads, checkpoints and the separation wall. Gaza has been imprisoned by military siege. The Zionist atheist-materialist ideology managed to take over Judaism and penetrate Christianity in the 20th century. Zionists seem to have an unlimited supply of everything. Even the Palestinians' wealthy Arab cousins are so bedevilled by their enemies they can offer little help. God is claimed to have given Palestine to His chosen people. It's in the Bible, Zionists say.
Palestinians have nothing but a few futile home-made rockets and the occasional "suicide bomber": Though dispossessed, imprisoned, humiliated, starved, detained, tortured, beaten and killed, the Palestinian people continue to survive, supported by their faith in the one true God.
According to Israeli leaders, the Palestinian population continues to increase and threatens one day soon to swamp their Jewish State. According to the CIA World Factbook, Palestine and its people do not exist, at all.
Whose side do you think God is on?
- Morley
It has occurred to me that military stuff has become worthless. Consider that the U.S.A. and it's allies (that's us) have not won a war since 1945. Why not? We have always enjoyed wide margins of technological and material superiority and still do. Today, many in the Pentagon consider the current war on Iraq was irretrievably lost years ago. The once-invincible U.S. dollar is going down the drain. Nothing is stopping it: Bear Stearns went down in March; last week it was Fanny Mae and Freddie Mac; yesterday it was Lehman Brothers; today, it's Merrill Lynch. The Chinese hold a mountain of U.S. debt. The Japanese hold at least as much.
"They shall beat their swords into ploughshares, their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift sword against nation; and there shall be no more training for war." - Isaiah 2:4
When the means is gone, they will be forced to do it, even those who love war.

CAW gets new President
© MMVIII v 1.0.0
Buzz Hargrove has resigned as President of the Canadian Auto Workers. He is hailed as a great labour leader and a friend to the working family. But is Buzz really their friend? The former Big Three, General Motors, Ford and Chrysler, are now the "Detroit Three". GM and Ford have been pushed aside in their home markets by carmakers from Japan and Korea as consumers desert former brand choices and go for something new. Chrysler may soon disappear altogether. Even powerhouse Daimler-Benz was unable to turn Chrysler around. A main reason for the decline of domestic automakers is "organized labour" which has made them uncompetitive. If workers no longer have jobs because their companies have been driven out of business by "organized labour", how can anyone say Buzz was their friend? Only government unions like CUPE (Canadian Union of Public Employees) can keep getting more for their members. Why? Governments tax and spend. Taxpayers pay up, or else.

The American Dream
© MMVIII v 1.0.7
Looking at what it has done throughout its 230-year history, it can truly be said that the United States of America is both a beacon of liberty in the world, "the last best hope of mankind" and also the biggest warmongering criminal enterprise yet devised by man or devil. Please consider that it is both — at the same time.
When people become aware of the dark side of the United States, they try to determine when things changed. But they will not be able to find a "turning point". They need to consider that things have not changed. They need to consider that things have always been this way. Here are the founding myths of the United States of America:
First, Universality: Before the American War of Independence, there was a small class of élite Americans and there was a large underclass which included a substantial number of "indentured servants" (i.e. slaves, some black and some white). There was no such thing as a middle class. The élite Americans resented being treated as second-class by the élite in Great Britain. The late eighteenth century was a period of emerging liberal thought. The American élite identified with "people yearning to be free." The American élite wanted to be free of England and the British élite. Their notion of "freedom" did not include the American underclass.
Thomas Paine, the most radical liberal writer in England, was recruited by Benjamin Franklin. Franklin — who had started life, himself, as an "indentured servant" — wanted Paine to write propaganda for the American élite. Paine's writings were extremely popular with the underclass in America — as they had been with the underclass in England: the underclass wanted to move up too. It was necessary for the American élite to involve everyone in their revolution since there weren't many in the élite. Even as a popular revolution, though, only about a third of Americans wanted to be free of England. Another third wanted to remain part of the British Empire (some moved to Canada) and the rest were indifferent. Franklin was part of the élite. He signed the Declaration of Independence and became an American icon on the hundred dollar bill. Paine died, uncelebrated, in Greenwich Village. Nothing has changed: Politics is about the élite conning the masses. "Anyone can be President."
Second, Militarism: Americans have always been fascinated with munitions and their use. Americans invented the rifle. Americans invented the repeating rifle. Americans invented the handgun. Americans invented the machine gun. Americans invented the aeroplane which was immediately used for warfare. Americans invented the atom bomb. Americans invented the hydrogen bomb. The United States has always been a leading exporter of military products and military culture. In the nineteenth century, for example, Americans taught the Japanese what they needed to know to create a modern army. European powers came to learn from Americans during the Civil War. There is a very strong belief in the United States that power can be used for good. It is no accident that neo-classical (Roman) architecture has been chosen for all of the official buildings in the United States. They were not merely copying the British; the Founders saw themselves as successors to Rome, as had the British.
Third, Messianism: Americans are taught to believe that they are destined to provide a benighted world with moral leadership. They believe that their liberation from the British Empire was only the first step in emancipating the world from its oppressors. Destroying empires and spreading democracy is the goal of the United States. Ten empires were destroyed in the First World War. The Second World War destroyed the last two empires while it created two new empires. Americans do not see that they have been building their own world-wide empire as the inevitable result of what they have been doing and how they have been doing it. The United States is fertile ground for messianic pseudo religions too.
Fourth, The American Way: The American Way welds Big Business with the state. The Marines have been called out over and over to "protect American interests." (i.e.: American colonial business interests in foreign countries.) The United States has always used military force to expand. Until recently, the United States has always been able to pursue protectionism at home and colonialism abroad. Mussolini and the Soviet Union are only two examples of attempts to emulate The American Way.
Fifth, Saving the World From Itself: From the beginning, Washington has successfully used a grand strategy of "Let's you and him fight." All along, rivals of the United States have been paired off against each other to fight it out to the death. Then, after the combatants were exhausted, the United States has stepped in on one side to save the situation, and the world, at very little cost to itself. For example, the United States lost only 2% of those killed in both WW I and WW II [1] [2] yet it has always trumpeted the great sacrifice it made to save the world. In both cases cited, the United States "came in late" because its "hands were tied." These are only two examples. There are more. Coincidence? In politics, there are no coincidences. - Franklin Delano Roosevelt
For victory in the American War of Independence, the United States can thank France which came to defeat its ancient enemy, Great Britain, to get revenge for the disaster France suffered in the Seven Years War. This was the second time France had been used to serve American interests. The first instance was, of course, the Seven Years War. More will be written on this topic later.
While this formula seems unstoppable, it has not been working as well as many imagine — in particular the people who run things in Washington simply do not get it. This failure has been quite evident since 1945 when the United States officially defeated all of its enemies, especially the British Empire, to take over managing the world. People round the world want the American Dream of liberty, in as much as it stands for truth, justice, beauty and love. Nobody wants the rest. We are currently witnessing the Truth that, all evil schemes eventually come to nothing. Thank God.

Dr. Strangelove
© MMVIII v 1.0.0
Dr. Strangelove was a Cold War black comedy made in 1963 by Stanley Kubrick[1][2][3]. Although it was made 45 years ago, it does not look dated to me. It might look dated to someone who is nineteen. While the characters in the film do not represent any real persons, living or dead, they vividly represent so many real characters, living and dead.
Nothing has changed since 1963. The same threats exist today. Most of them are in Washington, just as they were then. You can click the link below to watch clips of Dr. Strangelove on YouTube or you can buy the entire movie at iTunes for $9.99. If you do, you can watch it on your PC, Mac or iPod and remind yourself this could happen today, right now.

OIL
© MMVIII v 1.0.5
Geopolitics is a complicated and dangerous game. Geopolitics is always about power. But here is the gist of what is happening at the present time: O.I.L. As Linda McQuaig has written, "It's the crude, Dude."[1]
At the end of the 19th century, the Royal Navy decided to switch from coal mined in Wales to oil pumped in Mesopotamia and Persia. Thus, oil became a "strategic resource". Oil has been known since prehistory in that region: In Persia, temples were built around outcroppings of oil-bearing rock that were mysteriously burning with "eternal fire". The problem for the British Empire was to secure a supply of oil for the Royal Navy when Persia and Mesopotamia were not part of the British Empire. How?
How indeed?
The answer, of course, was to make them both part of the British Empire. "You got it. We want it." Since Persia was an ancient empire predating Alexander the Great, and Mesopotamia was part of the 600-year-old Ottoman Empire, something creative was needed. Something came along. It was called The Great War. Today we call it the First World War. There may have been other reasons for WW I, but oil, far from the Western Front, was certainly an important reason behind the slaughter. The Ottoman Empire actually did quite well during the War, but it went down with its allies the German Empire and the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Mesopotamia became British Iraq. Anglo-Persian (renamed British Petroleum in 1954) pumped black gold in the land of Zarathustra as it had been doing since 1908. The Ottoman Empire was reduced to Anatolia. It became Turkey.
The British Empire bit off a little more than it could chew with The Great War. It would take one more World War to finish it off. Power shifted from London to Washington in 1939. That great power shift may have been the main reason for the Second World War. It was the main event of the 20th century. While oil was important before WW II, oil became even more important after. In the last sixty years, the world economy has been built on oil. Today, petroleum fuels ships, railroads, trucks, cars and planes; it is used to make fertilizer, insecticides, herbicides, plastic, and cosmetics; it heats our offices, and our homes; it is burned to generate electricity.
Oil is useful.
While oil is important to you and me, it is of paramount importance to the Department of Defence (A.K.A. The Pentagon). For the DoD (which was called the Department of War until 1949)[2] requires lots of oil to enforce the U.S. world wide empire which is the successor to the British Empire. In fact, the DoD is the world's largest consumer of petroleum.[3] Shades of the Royal Navy! Oil is much much more important to the DoD than it is to you or me. That is the main reason oil is a "Strategic Resource" and it explains why the United States is so interested in Mesopotamia (Iraq) and the lands around the Caspian Sea.[4] The current invasion of and struggle to control Iraq has nothing to do with securing the supply of "imported oil" to fuel your SUV. War has to do with feeding the five-sided monster on the Potomac which cares not one whit about you, or me, or your SUV.
Oil is more than mere money. Oil is power. Things are not as simple as they once were. Today, there are many interests competing with the DoD to control oil and gas production, distribution and consumption: Iran, Iraq, the Persian Gulf Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Russia, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Armenia, Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, Pakistan, China and India, along with Japan, Europe, North America and everyone else. Even you are competing when you fill 'er up. Forget about the "War on Terror" and Muslims. They just happen to live where there is oil: Oil is mostly needed to feed the monster.

Truth and Lies II
© MMVIII v.1.0.3
Most people are not merely uninformed or misinformed, what they believe is actually the opposite of the truth.
Those who are the best informed, are the worst informed. Why is that? That is because they get their information from the world-wide mind control system, A.K.A. mainstream western media — the so-called "free press". The current "conflict in Georgia" is an excellent example. People here believe that big evil Russia invaded poor little Georgia and inflicted suffering and death on defenceless civilians. They watch footage of bombed houses and devastated people and assume that the Russians did it all. They see Russian tanks. They don't know that some of the people who have been featured are in south Ossetia and that they were attacked first by the U.S. tutored and equipped forces of Georgia. [1] Russian peacekeepers were slaughtered along with south Ossetians. Most people in south Ossetia are Russian citizens, though they are not Russians. They want to secede from Georgia.
The U.S.A. is behind support for Georgia and has pursued an aggressive policy of encirclement of Russia since the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991. Washington does not love peace and it never has at any time in its history.
This U.S. aggression is the main reason Putin has been able to rise and take over Russia. Russians rightly thank Putin for getting Russia up off the floor and re-establishing Russia as a power to be reckoned with again. Putin's Russia is not Yeltsin's Russia. Gazprom (the world's largest natural gas company and the world's third largest company) [2] finances the new Russia. The huge Russian missile fleet tipped with advanced nuclear weapons has been kept in good working order and is aimed at us. Washington continues on its reckless course, while demonizing Putin, of course. This same pattern has been followed over and over for 230 years. Over and over . . . Over and over . . . World War III is coming soon, unless we wake up.
Here's one antidote to the main stream media: http://www.anti-war.com. [3] Being on their mailing list, I read something true every morning, instead of something in the Globe and Mail or the New York Times. TV? I watch that to observe the latest brainwashing. Is this 1984? You bet.
In the world wide mind control system, lies are mostly created not mainly by telling falsehoods, but mainly by leaving out important facts so people cannot "connect the dots" or when they connect the dots that they do see, they get the wrong picture.[4]

Rogers Communications
© MMVIII v 1.0.2
This is a symptom of a serious problem in Canada. Rogers Communications charges Canadians 20 times as much to send wireless data as people in Rwanda or New Zealand or the United Kingdom or the United States pay. Bell and Telus are only somewhat better than Rogers. Canadian wireless users are far worse off than others in the world.
"Sock it to them!" It's the Canadian way.
Canadians generally believe they are fairly treated. But Canadians are hosed by the Canadian élite. Sometimes these people are direct descendants of the Family Compact [1] which used to rule the roost and in many ways still does. The now disgraced Conrad Black is one example.
Being raped is a serious problem for most Canadians. Rape is not, of course, a problem for rapists.
The main task of any élite is to keep its subjects happy with their lot in life. Usually people console themselves by saying that they are better off than someone else. "Things could be worse." They cannot say that about wireless communications. Now can they?

More Victims of Canadian Health Care
© MMVIII
This story was forwarded to me by someone who is afraid to have his identity known by Canada's medical establishment.
My Name is John. My Wife, Jane, and I keep our anonymity out of fear or reprisals from the Canadian Medical establishment. Isn't this awful in my own country I have to fear an organization for something that is not my fault!!! We are afraid of the Canadian Medical Protection Association (CMPA). I am afraid they will neglect my wife and damage her further if I make any waves.
Before I go any further with our story I must stress that I am not doing all that great. I am in shock and ill from all the stresses that have occurred, I am a Care giver and exhausted, so if patches of the story do not make sense I am sorry, but I am doing the best I can with what I little I got. These are the facts to the BEST, and I mean Best of my knowledge, SO HELP ME GOD.
Like many people who've encountered the CMPA I am exhausted with little strength to fight, no less fight a Goliath like the CMPA, they have something like 2 billion dollars if not more, I am broke and over worked and exhausted. My only recourse is my written word. This helps me in opening the eyes of other family's and victims suffering at the unfair balance in our LEGAL system, not to be mistaken for a JUSTICE System.
Before my wife went in for brain surgery tests were needed. They hooked her up to a machine with 20 feet of wiring, just enough to go to the bathroom and to her bed, they wanted her tied up for 7 days, I know there are wireless machines, but the hospital cutbacks I suppose they couldn't afford them, I don't know. Basically She was to be tested in solitary confinement for a week. The testing was archaic like being back in the 1950's so much so that my wife became ill from the tests and isolation.
First the staff pulled her off of ALL of her medications. She was being tested for epilepsy. She was pulled from her Valium and her antidepressant. I know from experience that pulling a person from pills like that can cause a false positive for the epilepsy, which would not be a good thing when a surgeon is cutting out brain.
My wife was getting sicker and sicker from the tests as the days went by. I concluded it was withdrawal from the Valium and her antidepressant. I finally got a hold of the neurologist (which wasn't easy) and told him that he shouldn't be taking her off of these medicines. He agreed and had the Frantic staff put her back on these pills. She got a little better but by the 4th day she had lost so much weight and was so freaked out with cabin fever that I had to stop the tests, there was no other option, she was getting very sick and the ironic part was she was healthy getting into the hospital and a mess when I took her home, I had to take her home early. The neurologist said he found the area of the epilepsy and the surgeon could operate and remove that spot.
We returned home where my wife slowly recovered and awaited surgery. when the day came after all the MRIs and so on and so forth they operated. I saw her in intensive care after the surgery. She complained that her head was pounding. "Oh that is normal" I was told over and over again. I was told to relax. We were told not to do anything for at least a year just wait for the surgery to work. They pulled my wife from the Intensive care on the 2nd day and put her in a unit with 4 or 5 other sick people. The noise in the room was insane, she continued to complain about her head pounding, "Oh that is normal" we were told. They took off the cast and there was a huge lump in her head "Oh that is normal" she didn't sleep for 2 days! we were told again after only 4 days after the surgery they sent her home after the fella who put the plate in her head looked at the lump and the surgeon looked at the lump and said it was just swelling.
The 2nd day we were home my wife had no attacks, she smiled in bed despite the "imaginary" pain in her head. She told me she was hoping to some day have a job and drive a car and have a normal life. I never felt so good in my life, I never had so much hope. The 3rd night I she got ill at around 2 o'clock in the morning. Went to the bathroom and as she got up from the toilet she passed out and cracked her head against the corner of the shower, knocking down the shower curtain, she hit her head exactly where the plate was!!!! I ran into the bathroom and pulled her out of the bathtub in a panic. I wanted to call an ambulance but she refused! Anyhow I called her surgeon the next day and they had her in to see him the following day STAT. He was excellent, he had another MRI Done he had discovered the plate was put in wrong and they would have to remove it. I must admit, he had compassion, responsibility and competence.
Another surgery later the plate is removed and she is taken home, her seizures are beginning to last longer and they are stronger. The surgery has totally backfired and made the situation worse. But I don't blame the surgeon he did his job 110 percent. My wife's personality has totally changed, her logic is altered, her condition has worsened.
I was driving a beat up old car that kept breaking down ever month and driving 150 Km to my "Career" back and forth in I.T. I couldn't pay Rent, Gas, Utility's, Food, Car repairs, Insurance, eyeglasses for my wife, her dental visits, her pills etc. etc. I couldn't afford to live. I went to Social Services with my wife and Daughter. The woman refused to put my wife on a disability, as I was earning 13 or 15 dollars an hour(I can't remember), with no benefits, and pretty much the the soul supporter of a House, I was earning to much money. My wife continued to keep her meager Canadian Pension of 700 a month with no benefits. Her gums are disintegrating as a result of al the medication she was put on since she was a child soon her teeth must be pulled out, her vision was changing day to day after the surgery. we went through 3 sets of eyeglasses in 2 years!! I CANT AFFORD THIS!!!!
We booked an appointment with her neurologist and they tested her. Her speech is gone to that of a 3rd grader, they acted as if she was faking it. Her logic is not all there anymore, her eyes are slipping, she suffers from anorexia, physical pains, her epilepsy has gotten so bad so on and so on. The staff of the neurologist blamed me right there and then, they say that the problems are not a result of the surgery but our financial nightmare, you see "This is my fault". A month later I ask for her file from the neurologist, they can't seem to find the file anywhere, they misplaced it. To this day they can't find it, pity. Kinda hard to find something like a medical file, they go missing all the time I guess.
A Year goes by and another, like they didn't even exist. Finally I get my act together and figure that I got to get a lawyer to sue.
I called around to all the lawyers I could find, I CALLED 10 lawyers and was told the Same thing from 5 of them, you CANT FIGHT THE Canadian Medical Protection Association, and since they "LOST THE FILES" this makes things impossible. The Canadian Medical Protection Association I am told over and over again will spent what ever it take to WIN, and since our case is so complex we don't stand a chance.
My wife is not the same woman I married, and this has changed me I don't even recognize my self, some days I feel as though my life is over and there is no hope. I work 10 hour days 6 some times 7 days a week just to pay bills, never mind a savings. I can not look after the finances as I am exhausted beyond hope. I am not a spendthrift, I am to confused to look after bills, and as a result I fall behind, because I CAN'T look after doing all my own shopping, working 10 hour days, not to mention travel, doing my own cooking own laundry, emotional care giving, I am fried out of my mind with worry over my wife and our future!!!! I have gotten Sick emotionally and physically from this nightmare, There is no help and the only hope is this forum.
I suffer now from chronic neck and back pain, osteoporosis, anorexia and it is a miracle I haven't developed cancer from all the chain smoking and stress. We lost her kids as a result of this, I had to give up my Career, as I got emotionally sicker I snapped at work and burned the only bridge I had with a great boss and my CAREER IS OVER!!! I work retail now to try and pay the bills, but it is only a matter of time till I snap from the stress and physical pain I am experiencing and can no longer work. From the kids perspective there was to much friction in the family after all this, they took off to their fathers, I don't blame them. But when my daughter left for her dads my heart was torn out, that was the END of my life, the final nail in the coffin so to speak. There was no hope. I was working as a super administrator for a multi million dollar organization based out in New York, took me years of hard work and not giving up to get that job, now it is gone forever, I snapped at work as a result of this and burned my bridge, I'll never be able to work in IT again, my future is not looking to good.
I am so burnt out, and I know I am not alone, other Canadians are suffering like me at the Hands of the Canadian Medical Protection Association. Well that is where I stand, let's see where this leads us shall we. I am one [expletive deleted] pissed off [expletive deleted] dude, and if a goon approaches me, they are just adding fuel to the fire, this strategy backfires, I don't fear anything, really I don't. Fear is like gone, I have had so much of it that the force of fear has pushed me off a cliff and all I feel is a floating sensation, I no longer feel the force of the fear pushing me.
I am currently seeing a head doctor for my breakdown, and he is helping me, my family doctor is helping me, and if they make mistakes it is o.k., I don't have a problem if a person makes a mistake and they do everything they can to correct the problem, even if they can't correct the problem at least they tried and took responsibility. People are human, so are doctors, but we must admit our mistakes, I know I do.
One thing that is a fact and the Fact is this. We DO NOT have a Justice system in this country, we have a Legal system. If the person your fighting has more money than you the odds are not in your favor, the Casino always wins. The Casinos name is the Canadian Medical Protection Association.
Thanks Morley for letting me share this in your Blog. I stand behind You 110% in this quest.

Duhmockricy in Action
© MMVIII v1.0.4
Like everyone, I don't know who is backing Obama. But I certainly agree that it is the contributors who will elect him, not "the people". The people are manipulated by the contributors who also control the apparatuses of mind manipulation ("pubic relations"). The contributors get the where-with-all to contribute from "the people". So in a perverse way duhmockricy does work: Those who buy things like Britney Spears gossip mags, TV schlock, and hoola-hoops actually run the world, one penny at a time.
When George W. Bush was running for POTUS [1] eight years ago, I remember reading that a small shadowy, but powerful, group of insiders in the GOP was backing the little known governor from Texas. Bush was an "outsider" in Washington. After the crisis of "9/11", George W. Bush and his uncle Dick became insiders overnight. (Of course, Uncle Dick, himself, had been an insider for decades.) The neocons working for them were then seen by a few observers to be thicker than fleas on an old Texas hound. Who really controls what the hound does is a bit of a mystery still. Do the fleas control the hound, or does someone else have the dog whistle? Perhaps those "dark suits" in New York City who control the money control the hound.
Someone recently observed that the dark suits don't really approve of things being upset by wildmen like the current denizens of the White House. Perhaps the people who really control things want someone who appears to be more stable than the neocrazies. Yesterday, Exxon-Mobile announced the largest quarterly profit by anyone in the history of the world. W and his uncle Dick have certainly helped Big Oil, despite the failure of Bush's adventure in Mesopotamia to yield its first dollar of net profit. The rest of American industry is not doing so well. No doubt the dark suits who run General Motors and Ford are not too happy with the current state of affairs. The list of unhappy dark suits must be quite long in fact. Some of them may feel betrayed by the GOP.
What about John McCain? The dark suits may have little faith in another Republican retread war hero who is pretty much like Senator Bob Dole. They may be looking for someone who will better serve them while he runs the world they way they want it run.
Is it too late for that? Do the dark suits run the world anymore? Can they? The tide has shifted away from our shores. It started shifting in 1971 when the Breton Woods system collapsed.[2] At the time, Nixon closed the gold window while he opened the door to China. Once again, "the people" caused this, one penny at a time. Today they buy baubles and trinkets made in China and who knows what else that is not Made in the U.S.A. Samuel Gompers (founder of the AFL and confidant of Presidents) would be horrified. [3][4] Gompers knew what to expect if American workers had to compete with Chinese workers. Helping the workers to get ahead is difficult. Serious people have sincerely tried.[5]
It may be time for a black President. (Okay, Obama is only half black but in a country where one drop of black blood makes one black, Obama is black. That's the rule.) With a black President, the United States can point once again to the moral leadership it provides the world. Remember when JFK was elected in 1960? He was the first (and only) Roman Catholic to become POTUS. Some worried that the Pope would start dictating U.S. policy. When that failed to happen, it was decided that JFK was a step forward in moral leadership. They still think that, those who believe the U.S. provides moral leadership.
Believers patriotically endorse what is happening in the Middle East while they send their sons and daughters to kill and die in Afghanistan and Iraq. They will "support the troops" if Washington decides to destroy Iran. That could be the last thing they ever do as power shifts away from them forever. Remember "Great Britain"? They ran the world for centuries.

Subject: Hate
Dear IMPARK:
Your racket, masquerading as a business, is the biggest rip-off I have ever seen. How can a $2.00 parking fee magically go to $63.60 the second the time expires? Oh sure, you got your inspiration from the cops. And like them, you offer a 50% discount if your victim pays up fast and doesn't make a fuss. And you have costs to cover, such as legal fees, ticketing minions, towing and related hostage fees. Don't want to pay up? Your car could be shipped to a chop shop or Hong Kong. Or you can pay an exorbitant ransom to get it back. Yesterday, when I parked at the lot you now control, I couldn't figure out your system. I couldn't find anyone who could answer a question either. But I did manage to find a way to give you $2, expecting the worst. I notice one of your minions was lurking somewhere nearby because a real person managed to put your extortion note under my windshield wiper. Frank Nitti (The Enforcer) would be proud of IMPARK. "Imperial Parking Canada Corporation" is well named: like cancer, your empire of rip-off centres metastasizes on empty lots across North America. I notice your website says you are "Carbon Neutral". Too bad you aren't rip-off neutral. Of course there is no one to answer questions. If there were, you'd have to pay that person and you would have received only $2 instead of $33.80 and it could have been $65.60 if I hadn't paid up immediately. What a racket. Some day you are going to get yours. I don't know how, but it will come. Have a nice day.
Helpful hints to the ripped-off: write to the proprietor of the business that has leased its parking lot to IMPARK. Tell him (or her) that you won't be patronizing his business again as long as he runs a rip-off operation where you park.
