Steve Jobs and me

© MMXI V.1.1.3
by Morley Evans

I am working my way through Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacson.

I have used Apple products since 1978 when I bought my Apple II. I chose the Apple because of the look and feel of the manual which was beautiful and skinny. I could understand it. My eyes glazed over when looked at the competitions' manuals which were like telephone books. "I'm too stupid for them," I concluded. When the Macintosh was introduced, I bought one because I understood it even better. I thought everyone would want such a machine once they tried it. I was wrong. They liked DOS, incompatibility, difficulty, confusion, breakdowns, high costs and crap. They had jobs fixing all the problems. I overlooked the Mac's shortcomings and worked around them. I did a lot of work for the next 15 years with my trusty little Macintosh. I paid a big price for sticking with Apple, but then I was rewarded by more "insanely great products" after Steve returned to Apple.

I was always the odd-man-out in every organization and I had to work hard to be compatible with them while they made no effort to be compatible with me. They worked hard to make my life miserable. Times have changed. At Christmas, everyone had a new iPhone or iPad. One die-hard Windows user gushed, "I can do everything with my iPhone! I never go anywhere without it! Apple is the best!" In the waiting room of my chiropractor a few weeks ago, a baby, not much older than one, sat on her mother's lap playing with an iPad. The baby knew what she was doing! One of my nephews has a tablet made by ASUS that uses the Android OS. He can make it do impressive-looking things. I can't make it do anything. Jobs hated Google because they stole from Apple to make Android. I think Jobs can rest easy. After almost thirty years of development (copying the Mac), Windoze is still a dog. Android is no better. Reversing markets of ten years ago, Microsoft stock is $25 today while Apple is over $400. Google is flying high on it's many other achievements. Apple helped them to get off the ground.

In psychological tests that I have taken, INTUITION is — by far — my strongest attribute. Intuition is how I think and function. That is why I like Apple. That is what Steve Jobs brought to Apple. Jobs loved Zen and the Japanese esthetic. He didn't bathe every day and was rude, however, so he was not like me or the Japanese in many ways. Like Svengali, Jobs could manipulate people to squeeze the best out of them. I can't get anyone to do anything so I am a lone wolf. Zen is why I survived all the abuse I took in my first fifty years, especially after returning from Japan. Zen — and nutrition — is why my next fifty years promise to be much better! When I am one hundred years old and surfing the North Shore of Oahu, someone may pay attention. Unlike Jobs, I am a bristlecone pine or a tortoise that lives slow but lives long. "Be humble, like the dirt."

Jobs was a personality like Tesla, Ford, Napoleon and Alexander. Steve Jobs did change the world as everyone is saying today. My iPhone is a university in my pocket. It is also a concert hall, a broadcasting system and much more. Just "Think Different."

Did I mention that I never read a manual? I just dive in and start swimming.

Happy New Year!

Conspiracy

© MMXI V.1.0.2
by Morley Evans

Organizations have a life of their own. This is sometimes called "organizational culture". The people who make up an organization are to the organization what cells are to a person. The individual people in an organization affect the organization and the organization affects the individuals. An organization can live on as one generation is replaced by the next generation. To observers, both within and without, it seems that "someone" unseen is controlling the organization, but there is no one "behind the curtain" giving orders to those who can be seen in front of the curtain. "Conspiracy theories" usually involve revealing the person behind the curtain. But "conspiracy theories" are not debunked when it is demonstrated that no one is behind the curtain. A program really can continue generation after generation for hundreds of years. Such programs, or missions, only end when the organization dies.

Conspiracy exists. It is real.

Quackwatch is a website dedicated to protecting the public. Can you trust what it says? No, you cannot.

Stephen Barrett, MD (born 1933) is a retired American psychiatrist, author, co-founder of the National Council Against Health Fraud (NCAHF), and the webmaster of Quackwatch. He runs a number of websites dealing with quackery and health fraud. He focuses on consumer protection, medical ethics, and scientific skepticism. Numerous sources have cited Quackwatch as a useful source for online consumer information.

If you subscribe to the establishment opinion that conventional modern pharmaceutical medicine and surgery exclusively offers quality healthcare to humanity, then you will find Mr. Barrett's opinions valuable. If, however, you disagree, you will find his opinions completely worthless.

Disease is the result of toxicity, deficiency and inactivity. Charlatans who cut, poison and burn are quacks. Psychiatrists are the worst, but they and their fellow quacks are not criticized at Quackwatch. Shun them. Choose a long wholesome life, sanity and spiritual health:

Christmas

© MMXI V.1.0.1
by Morley Evans

The whole point of Christmas is that the world is not going to end. Was there ever a time worse than now? Was there ever a time better? Life is a trial, a test. We are judged by the things we choose. Jesus brought Hope to the world. You don't have to create Heaven on earth. Jesus didn't. Just help someone who is less well off than you are. Do it today. Merry Christmas!

Love,

PERI Report

© MMXI V.1.0.2
by Morley Evans

Below is Figure 1 from a report in December 2011 by the Political Economy Research Institute of the University of Massachusetts. The gist of the report is banks and large corporations today hold an unprecedented amount of cash that could be put to work employing 19 million Americans.

http://www.peri.umass.edu/fileadmin/pdf/published_study/PERI_19Million.pdf

This remarkable pile of cash is part of the mountain of money that has been created by Mr. Bernanke and the FED. We already have significant inflation. How the central banks have been able to put off hyperinflation to this point is even more remarkable. But sooner rather than later the financial hocus pocus will no longer work and the bubble will burst. This is inevitable. Will the banksters manage to plunge the world into a new World War in hopes of saving their necks by turning everyone against each other (and away from them) or will they be swinging from the lampposts?

A race to doomsday is underway and we're locked in the trunk. Exciting huh?

Egypt December 2011

© MMXI V.1.0.1
by Morley Evans

Did you read about this in your newspaper? Did you see this on your TV? Why not? Do you think you know what's going on? Why doesn't NATO step in to provide "humanitarian assistance" like it did in Libya? Do you know we are supplying the soldiers in the photo below? Why don't you cancel your newspaper and switch off your TV? Give Obama and Harper the finger.

You know what? Some people are really pissed off!

Egyptian women decry abuse by soldiers

By Leila Fadel and Ragia Mostafa, Published: December 20

Brave Soldiers Keeping the Peace

CAIRO — Thousands of women, enraged by images of female protesters being dragged through the streets by soldiers during weekend protests, marched Tuesday in central Cairo to decry the Egyptian military’s recent use of force against demonstrators.

The rare public outpouring by women, young and old, religious and secular, appeared to turn up the pressure on the country’s ruling military council. The generals, who had shown no remorse for the recent violence, quickly issued a statement Tuesday evening offering “sincerest apologies to the great women of Egypt for what happened” and promising that those responsible would be reprimanded.

Egypt’s conservative society has been shaken by nearly a week of deadly protests and by powerful images of women being stripped and beaten by soldiers in riot gear. Many in Tuesday’s crowd carried a widely circulated photo of a woman being dragged by soldiers, her scarf and abaya ripped from her body to expose her blue bra.

“Egypt was stripped,” their posters read.

The military leadership has tried to paint demonstrators as paid thugs and conspirators intent on destabilizing Egypt.

But as the women chanted for an end to military rule and waved to bystanders to join them, they seemed to signal renewed solidarity among Egyptians. In recent days, activists and politicians have increasingly called for presidential elections no later than the end of January to remove the military council from power.

The protest appeared to be the largest march by women since demonstrations began here 11 months ago. A group of men, including newly elected members of parliament, formed a shield around them.

“Egyptian girls are a red line,” they chanted hours after another predawn raid on Tahrir Square by soldiers and military police. At least 13 people have been killed, including nine by gunfire, and nearly 1,000 wounded since violence began on Friday when military police tried to break up a sit-in outside the cabinet building.

“Even those not sympathetic to protesters can’t deny the power of an image of a defenseless woman being attacked,” said Heba Morayef, an Egypt researcher at Human Rights Watch. But, she acknowledged, images of young men hurling stones and setting fire to buildings also have had a powerful effect.

The march followed a news conference Monday by Maj. Gen. Adel Emara, a member of the ruling military council, who called soldiers who shot and beat protesters heroes and praised them for their “restraint.”

Journalists and other witnesses said that in recent days they had seen soldiers rushing to Tahrir Square with guns in their hands and using truncheons to beat fleeing protesters, scenes that were captured on video. The sounds of gunfire also were heard.

“Despite the pain it caused, it was a slap in the face to the military council, it weakened its power and showed its true face to the world,” said Ghada Ibrahim, who was beaten and detained Friday.

Saint George

© MMXI V.1.0.9
by Morley Evans

The pharmaceutical industry is "modern medicine". It includes the pharmaceutical companies, pharmaceutical doctors who push pharmaceutical drugs, pharmaceutical medical schools, pharmaceutical hospitals, pharmaceutical nurses, pharmaceutical drug stores and the lawyers, regulators, legislators, advertisers, unions and others who protect and promote the pharmaceutical industry. The pharmaceutical industry is Big Business. This monster is a hazard to all who are malnourished, under-exercised, and medicated with pharmaceutical drugs. (Everyone who leads a "modern life" in the "modern world" — you.) The pharmaceutical industry cares not one whit about you. It will bleed you of your last dime and then throw you out with the garbage while shedding crocodile tears and whining for more money. This is big-time international drug trafficking, much bigger than the Mafia, and more dangerous because the people who run it are our leading citizens. They are so respectable. Do not fear, though. Judgement and retribution for the pharmaceutical industry is coming.

Middle Eastern HISTORY

© MMXI V.1.0.7
by Morley Evans

Posted on Al Jazeera
http://www.aljazeera.com/indepth/features/2011/12/20111210155456690198.html

Here's a timeline of the Roman Empire, history fans:
http://www.scaruffi.com/politics/romans.html.

The Eastern Romans became Byzantines after the fall of Rome in 476 CE. The Byzantines controlled the region (which did not include the Levant or Mesopotamia) until the Ottomans defeated Constantinople in 1453 CE. Most of the Jews in Palestine converted to Christianity in the first century. Most of their descendants converted to Islam in the seventh century along with peoples from Morocco to south east Asia. Jews, Christians, Muslims (both Sunni and Shi'a) and Druze, lived more-or-less harmoniously for 600 years in the Ottoman Empire under the Sultan in Istanbul. The current Jews in Palestine are descendants of Berbers who converted to Judaism before the Moors conquered Iberia in 711 CE as well as the Khazars who converted to Judaism sometime between 700 and 800. A few of these Sephardic and Ashkenazi Jews began colonizing Palestine in the late nineteenth century as Zionists. The Zionist movement has aggressively campaigned against the majority of Jews to dominate them all. Big trouble for everyone began when the British Empire carved up the Ottoman Empire for fun and profit after WW I. North Africa was largely lost to the Ottomans by the time Napoleon took over Egypt. Egypt was ceded to the British when they won the Napoleonic Wars in 1814. The present-day Palestinians are the most likely descendants of the Jews in the Bible, not the people who call themselves Israelis today. The Empire of Alexander extended from Greece, north Africa and the eastern shores of the Mediterranean to present-day Pakistan. Alexander took over the Persian Empire, an achievement the Romans envied but were unable to repeat. Rome lasted from 753 BCE to 1461 CE, 2214 years. Rome survives to this day as the principal Italian city, which is why they call Rome the eternal city (2764 years).

Why is this essay called Middle Eastern HISTORY yet it focuses on Rome? Human affairs are intertwined, everything is connected to everything. Changes in one area affect things in other areas. Historians separate things and simplify them by generalization so they can be examined. Then events and personalities must be put together again to get a reasonably accurate and complete picture. Understanding the past, as much as speculating about the future, is a creative endeavor. "Prediction is difficult, especially when it involves the future." Understanding the past is every bit as challenging. In contrast to Rome, China was unified by Qin Shi Huang in 221 BCE. There was something before him in China and Greek city-states dominated the Mediterranean before Rome. Alexander was a Macedonian. He defeated the main Persian army in 333 BCE, over a century before China was unified but about the same time in the vast expanse of all human history. Here's a map of Alexander's Empire. It is the Middle East:

The Empire of Alexander the Great
We will revisit the area to look at the Islamic tsunami that swept the world in the seventh century and then the Mongol Empire and what happened to it. Of course, storied India will not be overlooked.

Can the tiny élite that takes everything stay in power, in Egypt or here in Canada? In Egypt, they are saying in Arabic, "We're as mad as Hell and we aren't going to take this anymore." In Canada, everyone is still in a coma. Justice is the most basic social service there is. Canada is even more corrupt than Egypt but peaceful because Canadians are asleep. The Canadian riot police are being trained in case Canadians ever wake up.

Some Big Events Are About To Occur. The world is changing. The world's hegemon (that's us) since 1756 is losing its grip. Batten the hatches, a storm is coming and we can't do anything about it (though our rulers will try to retain their power over us and the world). Our rulers are the enemy, not the people they tell us are the enemy. Don't be fooled. Beware.

Do not be discouraged when you discover that the stupidest people run things. This is axiomatic. They run things because they excel at acquiring power — not because they are the best people with the best ideas.

Max Planck, the famous physicist, is credited with the following maxim about scientific discovery -"An important scientific innovation rarely makes its way by gradually winning over and converting its opponents. What does happen is that its opponents gradually die out and the growing younger generation is familiar with the idea from the beginning. Or more bluntly, science marches funeral by funeral."

God kept me alive in 2000 so I could see Maria's smile. She confirms that everything is good in a world that is filled with hope, kindness, trust and love. These things cancel out the evil that is everywhere. This is a very special picture because this is how Maria looks at me even when there is no camera. I'll try to live up to what she sees — but who could? Even though no one could be that good, I promise to do my best not to disappoint her, or you.

World Finance

© MMXI V.1.0.2
by Morley Evans

Central Banks such as the U.S. Federal Reserve System, the Bank of England and the Deutsche Bundesbank (AKA the banksters) have been running the world's financial affairs for several hundred years (since 1754, actually, when the banksters financed the first world war, called the Seven Years' War). Central Banks are supposedly owned by governments and so are "owned by us" the people. In fact the opposite is true in the same way that the pharmaceutical industry is regulated by the Food and Drug Administration which is a department of the U.S. government. The FDA is actually run by the pharmaceutical industry. In the same way, the banksters control the governments which supposedly are "owned by us" being those who live in every duhmockrisy. The only thing you can be 100% certain of is that you actually own nothing. They own you. If you are lucky, you are a cork bobbing in the ocean. If you are not so lucky, you are tossed among the rocks in a raging river. Some — who think they are socialists helping the 99% — believe government is the answer, but government is part of the problem.

Here is the REAL News Network on the Eurozone:

We the people need honest money. We need digital gold. We need to get rid of the banksters along with their phony money and bloody wars. The looming global financial disaster could be a disaster only for the banksters, not us. It depends what we choose, more of the same or something better.

Depression and Mental Illness

© MMXI V.1.0.3
by Morley Evans

Depression and Mental Illness result from poor nutrition.

Dr. Joseph Goldberger, a young doctor who most likely had read some Spanish history in the New York Library while he was a medical student, cured Pellagra with good wholesome fresh food grown in vegetable gardens. Later, it was decided, likely by the pharmaceutical industry, that Niacin was the "active ingredient" that was responsible and Vitamin B was added to some foods, especially milk.

The Pellagra epidemic rampant in the South ended quietly. Even so, nutrition — not pharmaceutical drugs — cures Pellagra along with the Dermatitis, Diarrhea, Dementia and Death of the disease progression. Deficient food is the cause. Complete food is the cure: a variety of fresh, whole, and raw vegetables and fruit is the ideal regimen for good health and long life. Here is Dr. Andrew Saul, Ph.D. presented by FoodMatters (Australia):

The medical establishment — whose immediate predecessors had dismissed Dr. Lister and Louis Pasteur as quacks — were looking for a Pellagra germ they could destroy with an antibiotic. Despite their pretensions, these people who run medicine are stupid. Amazingly, despite exposing grotesque error, Dr. Goldberger was not destroyed, the usual fate of anyone who exposes any Establishment, medical or otherwise.

Mega-doses of vitamins can be therapeutically useful. The vast array of micro-nutrients in whole foods and whole-food based supplements like JuicePLUS+ are required by everyone every day.

Final Judgement

© MMXI V.1.0.5
By Morley Evans

Are you a sheep or are you a goat? Do you support the monstrous crimes committed every hour round the world by the Empire? Do you push aside the weaker sheep and take the best for yourself? Do you believe comfortable lies or do you seek truth, however uncomfortable? Do you laugh at the misfortunes you create for others? You — who think you are so smart and powerful — what future have you made for yourself? None deny that no one takes a thing from this world beyond the grave.

Matthew 25:31-46
English Standard Version (ESV)
The Final Judgment

31 "When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne. 32 Before him will be gathered all the nations, and he will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 And he will place the sheep on his right, but the goats on the left. 34 Then the King will say to those on his right, 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, 36 I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.' 37 Then the righteous will answer him, saying, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? 38 And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? 39 And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?' 40 And the King will answer them, 'Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers,[a] you did it to me.'

41 "Then he will say to those on his left, 'Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me no food, I was thirsty and you gave me no drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not welcome me, naked and you did not clothe me, sick and in prison and you did not visit me.' 44 Then they also will answer, saying, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to you?' 45 Then he will answer them, saying, 'Truly, I say to you, as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to me.' 46 And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life."

There is an inverse relationship between the cost of food and the cost of medicine: the less we spend on food, the more we spend on medicine. We consume cheap junk food that gives us cancer and cardiovascular disease that doctors try to cure with junk medicine which can cure neither. Cheap junk food drives farmers out of business while agribusiness, junk science and pharmaceuticals destroy the world we live in and us.

Canadian "Healthcare"

© MMXI v.1.1.2
by Morley Evans

Dear Jane Doe in Nova Scotia,

The Canadian medical system is a cesspool of corruption. Your case adds weight to that statement. This didn't start with Tommy Douglas or Pierre Trudeau and Monique Bégin. Douglas merely made a pact with the devil and sold an iron-clad arrangement to pay doctors out of the public trough as "free medicare". Trudeau saw a profitable political program and Bégin foisted it with an iron fist onto the entire country for her boss, Pierre the wonderboy. They made Canadian "healthcare" a Canadian religion so we peasants could serve the medical aristocrats. They fraudulently sold it as "socialism". Power did NOT go to the people.

I believe everything you say. But it doesn't matter what you say or what evidence you have. It doesn't matter what I say or what anyone says. The pharmaceutical industry: pharmaceutical  companies, pharmaceutical doctors, pharmaceutical nurses, pharmacies, pharmaceutical  hospitals, pharmaceutical  medical schools and "regulatory agencies" that are actually run behind the scenes by the pharmaceutical industry have had the country by the balls since Confederation. They have corrupted every Canadian institution from the Supreme Court of Canada to the CBC and the rest of the "free press". The legislatures and the lawyers in Canada are corrupt. They are a joke. Canada is worse than any Third World country because Canadians have no idea how things really are. They smile and proudly salute the flag. They bend over to get screwed. Canadians believe all the lies their leaders tell them. In Guatemala the peasants at least know what's what. Third World ignorant peons are smarter than we are.

We victims have no chance of getting a dime out of this system. THEY COULD NOT CARE LESS ABOUT US. Don't waste your time or worry your pretty little head. Look after yourself first. Do what you can to get healthy. Avoid everything the pharmaceutical bastards advertise. They have nothing you want or need, especially in Canada. Nutrition with exercise is the ticket to good health. Look for an acupuncturist, naturopath, osteopath, remedial masseur or chiropractor. Consider JuicePLUS+ It helps me. Everyone is helped by good nutrition and exercise. Everyone is harmed by bad nutrition, pharmaceutical nostrums that provide relief by masking disease and inactivity. Do what you can. Every journey of ten thousand miles begins with one step. Take a step. Start walking. You'll get better than you are and you might be surprised how well you get. Don't worry about what you've lost. It's gone. Be thankful you are alive.

You and I and tens of millions of other Canadians have a political problem, not a legal problem. None of us has a medical problem that pharmaceutical medicine can solve. We suffer from chronic diseases caused by adulterated food, man-made chemicals and inactivity. They have NOTHING to offer people with cancer or cardiovascular disease, the number one and number two killers. They still say, "Take two Aspirin and call me in the morning." Yes indeedy. Aspirin can prevent cancer, stroke and heart disease, diabetes, dementia and even pregnancy complications according to them. Many of us have serious medical problems pharmaceutical medicine caused with its stupid ideas, such as the war on cholesterol and mammograms to name but two. You were harmed by malpractice. I certainly was, but Canadian pharmaceutical doctors don't care what harm they cause. They don't have to care.

One orthopedic surgeon in Regina cut off the wrong leg. Nothing happened to the doctor. He is still practicing "medicine" as one of Regina's leading citizens. His victim is getting along with no legs. Not one word of this made it into the "free press". It came from an insider who wished to remain anonymous, of course. There are a million stories in the Naked City. But you will never hear about them. Canadians like to think positively. If they kill you, that's your though luck. Life in Canada is just like a hockey game. Your story is valuable, Jane. You are a human being. You have value!

Whatever anyone does or fails to do, the Canadian "healthcare" system is collapsing because Canada can't afford it and it doesn't work anyway. The people who run it can all go to Hell where they will get what they deserve.  For years, they have been arriving at the eternal inferno with their pockets stuffed with cash, but they are always out of luck. Tell your story, Jane. That's how you will get justice. You don't need those people to get well. They have nothing to offer.

Am I pissed off? You bet. I take a very dim view of people who try to kill me and then get to laugh about it. Like most, I once believed their lies. It took a long time, but I finally learned my lesson. I gave them every chance — I gave them even more than the last twenty years. They are unrepentant. They are not interested, but you can profit from my experience. We aren't trapped. We can either get sucked into the living death offered by pharmaceutical medicine (go to an old folks home and look at the drugged inmates there to see what I mean) or we can choose life. Step through this door and never look back.

Your friend,
- Morley

We Have Seen The Enemy

© MMXI V.1.0.6
by Morley Evans

We have seen the enemy and he is us. - Pogo (Walt Kelly)

This sums up the 20th century in one paragraph:

New Deal make-work programs did not end the Great Depression. That was ended by World War II which put everyone to work in the war economy. Inflation — that reversed deflation which had caused the Great Depression — paid for it. That is what the United States has been doing ever since 1945 and we have had non-stop wars and inflation since then. It seemed to work in the 1940s and 1950s. It stopped working in the 1960s. By the 1970s Germany, France and Switzerland were demanding payment in gold and Nixon "closed the gold window." Then, Nixon went to China and started the beginning of the end for the U.S. economy when he took China off the shit list and started buying manufactured Chinese goods. Mao won the war thanks to Nixon, Deng Xiaoping and Chinese workers who do excellent work for less. Guns, bombs and financial hocus pocus lost, period, but the U.S. and its vassals keep trying them anyway.

World War II was not fought to "save the world from fascism." It was fought to smash the rivals of the Anglo-American Empire and provide the Empire with an insurmountable lead over everyone else. Guess who actually started WW II? It wasn't Hitler, Mussolini and Tojo. The same people started WW I, the Spanish American War, the Boer Wars, and also the Napoleonic (world) Wars which crushed France the second time and the Seven Years (world) War which crushed France the first time. Each victory established an insurmountable lead for the Empire over all of its rivals. You may have noticed that people keep catching up and new wars are always required to stay ahead. We are always fooled to go off to war.

We are the world's only remaining superpower: boasted the United States with the victory in the Cold War as the USSR dissolved. Ours is the most powerful military the world has ever known.

Have this thought on "Remembrance Day" on the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month which celebrates the Great Victories of 1945 and 1918 and the rest of our victories stretching back to the Spanish Armada and beyond. Don't forget the Civil War, although that war has its own special American day, Memorial Day. Read English history back to 1066 when the modern era really began. We have been saving the world from a fate worse than death for a thousand years. We are so noble.

The 1% vs The 99%

© MMXI V.1.0.1
by Morley Evans

Here are some thoughts that will be unpopular in many quarters:

There is no doubt that 1% are doing very well while 99% are not, figuratively speaking. On TheREALNews.com I watched Bill Black say that three things are required [1]: 1). stop paying people to do nothing and pay them to do something; 2). stop foreclosures; 3). jail the banksters. While I agree with the problem as Black defines it and also with the solutions, the devil is in the details. The interviewee, Black and The REAL News interviewer, Paul Jay, represent the "progressive" movement. They are unreconstructed New Dealers, socialists and communists. They put their faith in the concentration of power. Their solution is to put good people into power, jerry-rig the markets to enrich the producers, and redistribute wealth through taxation. As a libertarian, I know that is a vain hope and that it always fails because power is concentrated. What is needed is the exact opposite: power must be distributed, not concentrated.

The banksters should be jailed for the crimes they have committed. Bernie Madoff agrees! I like Bernie. He's honest. The Fed should be abolished along with all the world's central banks. We need honest money. Digital gold must replace fiat money. Since it was set up before WW I, the Fed has taken over the government of the United States and the world.

Stop foreclosures and throwing people into the street. The U.S. real estate market was inflated by fraud and collusion with crooked lawmakers and regulators. Houses were fraudulently over-valued so people with no chance of qualifying for a mortgage could "buy a house" they could not afford.

New Deal make-work programs did not end the Great Depression. That was ended by World War II and putting everyone to work in the war economy. Inflation — that reversed deflation which had caused the Great Depression — paid for it. That is what the United States has been doing ever since 1945 and we have had non-stop wars since then. It seemed to work in the 40s and 50s. It stopped working in the 60s. By the 70s Germany, France and Switzerland were demanding payment in gold and Nixon "closed the gold window." Then, Nixon went to China and started the beginning of the end for the U.S. economy when he took China off the shit list. Mao won the war thanks to Nixon and Deng Xiaoping and Chinese workers who do excellent work for less. Guns and bombs lost, period, but the U.S. keeps trying it anyway.

The graph below shows U.S. productivity rising with all that money being appropriated by the rich owners. In fact, U.S. worker productivity has declined because people who work for big wages, have thirty days a year in paid vacations, and fully indexed pensions starting at age 60 cannot possibly compete with Chinese workers who live in dormitories, eat in cafeterias and work 12 hour days for a dollar and hour. It is impossible. Canadian workers are even less productive than American workers.

Greeks who all work for the government (figuratively speaking) and do nothing productive (defined as what someone would pay them to do if they had a choice) are out of luck once the Germans decide they won't loan them any more money! Germans are asking why they should pay Greeks to sit in government offices and shuffle paper. Greeks are "demanding their rights" by going on strike and rioting in the streets. Huh? What will that do for anyone? Why don't they make something people want to buy? When the Great World-Wide Financial Melt-Down comes — and its coming — what will we do?

American productivity cannot be increased by robots to improve the workers' position. The Japanese, Chinese, Germans, Brazilians, have robots. They know all about robots.

Buzz Hargrove and his successor at the Canadian Auto Workers Union are straight out of the dark ages of the British Trade Union Movement and the British Labour Party which was brought to the United States by Samuel Gompers (AFL) in the 19th century. We need to look at labour relations in Germany and Japan to see why those countries have succeeded while we have failed. Instead of scapegoating the Germans, we could learn something, instead of continuing to do the same dumb things.

This is what works: PRODUCERS SERVE CUSTOMERS, NOT THEMSELVES. Producers do things for other people that those people want them to do. That is what works.

Producers (owners and workers) who don't understand this go out of business. This is true for individual businesses and for entire countries. Great Britain, I was surprised to learn from an article that Fareed Zakaria wrote almost twenty years ago had already been surpassed by Singapore! The U.S.A. is going that way fast. The big losers of the wars of the 20th century, Germany, Japan, and China are the big winners today. Why is that? India, which was the big loser with British colonialism owns great portions of Great Britain today. Great Britain which today is behind Germany, France and Italy — and is a very junior partner in the U.S. Empire — has to eat a heaping helping of humble pie.

People need honest money and an honest legal system that protects them from crooks. As Bill Black says "The best way to rob a bank is to own one."

Canada is all puffed up like an empty balloon. Pop! Harper is not your friend, Canada, neither is the NDP or the Liberal Party of Canada. They all pretend to act in the best interests of the people. They don't. They all act in the best interest of their own members and you aren't a member of the club. They are your friends only at election-time.

Lee Kwan Yew

© MMXI v.1.0.2
From Foreign Affairs Magazine March/April 1994 by Fareed Zakaria

Lee Kwan Yew
"One of the asymmetries of history," wrote Henry Kissinger of Singapore’s patriarch Lee Kuan Yew, "is the lack of correspondence between the abilities of some leaders and the power of their countries." Kissinger’s one time boss, Richard Nixon, was even more flattering. He speculated that, had Lee lived in another time and another place, he might have "attained the world stature of a Churchill, a Disraeli, or a Gladstone." This tag line of a big man on a small stage has been attached to Lee since the 1970s. Today, however, his stage does not look quite so small. Singapore’s per capita GNP is now higher than that of its erstwhile colonizer, Great Britain. It has the world’s busiest port, is the third-largest oil refiner and a major center of global manufacturing and service industries. And this move from poverty to plenty has taken place within one generation. In 1965 Singapore ranked economically with Chile, Argentina and Mexico; today its per capita GNP is four or five times theirs. [Singapore does not have an army, navy or airforce to bully others or defend itself.]

Lee managed this miraculous transformation in Singapore’s economy while maintaining tight political control over the country; Singapore’s government can best be described as a "soft" authoritarian regime, and at times it has not been so soft. He was prime minister of Singapore from its independence in 1959 (it became part of a federation with Malaysia in 1963 but was expelled in 1965) until 1990, when he allowed his deputy to succeed him. He is now "Senior Minister" and still commands enormous influence and power in the country. Since his retirement, Lee has embarked on another career of sorts as a world-class pundit, speaking his mind with impolitic frankness. And what is often on his mind is American-style democracy and its perils. He travels often to East Asian capitals from Beijing to Hanoi to Manila dispensing advice on how to achieve economic growth while retaining political stability and control. It is a formula that the governing elites of these countries are anxious to learn.

Is Culture Destiny? The Myth of Asia's Anti-Democratic Values
- Kim Dae Jung
Singapore's Lee Kuan Yew has suggested that the "Western concepts" of democracy and human rights will not work in Asia. This is false: Asia has its own venerable traditions of democracy, the rule of law, and respect for the people. Asia's destiny is to improve Western concepts, not ignore them.

What else was happening in the neighborhood when Singapore blossomed under Lee Kwan Yew? Lots: the War in Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos raged, Pol Pot's killing fields wiped out half the Cambodians, a military junta took over Burma, Ferdinand Marcos's dictatorship ruled the Philippines and millions of Indonesians died as power went from Sukarno to Suharto. Thailand was heavily militarized by the United States. Compared to this, Singapore's achievement under Lee Kwan Yew is even more remarkable.

Summing Up, the future is this:
Politics and military force are out as ways to decide what happens. Producers serve customers, not themselves, and all are equal before the law. This is not some impossible hope but how things actually work in a successful, harmonious, prosperous, happy, human society that is in balance with nature, its neighbours, itself and the cosmos.

Philosophy

© MMXI V.1.0.0
by Morley Evans

Philosophy asks the correct questions. Philosophy does not provide the answers. Most people — especially the leaders or those who strive to be leaders — give the wrong answers to the wrong questions. Democracy is an example of the blind being chosen by the blind to lead the blind.

All things must pass, all things and all people.

From shirtsleeves to shirtsleeves in three generations. From dust to dust. This is something to be remembered by the current kings of the mountain and their followers who always believe the good times will never end.

Place your faith not in temporal things. Look up instead.

What You Scatter

© MMXI v.1.0.0
from Riazuddin Ahmed

Just a nice story....Riaz

IT'S WHAT YOU SCATTER

I was at the corner grocery store buying some early potatoes... I noticed a small boy, delicate of bone and feature, ragged but clean, hungrily apprising a basket of freshly picked green peas.

I paid for my potatoes but was also drawn to the display of fresh green peas. I am a pushover for creamed peas and new potatoes.

Pondering the peas, I couldn't help overhearing the conversation between Mr. Miller (the store owner) and the ragged boy next to me.

'Hello Barry, how are you today?'

'H'lo, Mr. Miller. Fine, thank ya. Jus' admirin' them peas. They sure look good.'

'They are good, Barry. How's your Ma?'
'Fine. Gittin' stronger alla' time.'
'Good. Anything I can help you with?'
'No, Sir. Jus' admirin' them peas.'
'Would you like to take some home?' asked Mr. Miller.

'No, Sir. Got nuthin' to pay for 'em with.'

'Well, what have you to trade me for some of those peas?'

'All I got's my prize marble here.'

'Is that right? Let me see it', said Miller.

'Here 'tis. She's a dandy.'

'I can see that. Hmm mmm, only thing is this one is blue and I sort of go for red. Do you have a red one like this at home?' the store owner asked.

'Not zackley but almost.'

'Tell you what. Take this sack of peas home with you and next trip this way let me look at that red marble'. Mr. Miller told the boy.

'Sure will. Thanks Mr. Miller.'

Mrs. Miller, who had been standing nearby, came over to help me.

With a smile she said, 'There are two other boys like him in our community, all three are in very poor circumstances. Jim just loves to bargain with them for peas, apples, tomatoes, or whatever.

When they come back with their red marbles, and they always do, he decides he doesn't like red after all and he sends them home with a bag of produce for a green marble or an orange one, when they come on their next trip to the store.'

I left the store smiling to myself, impressed with this man. A short time later I moved to Colorado , but I never forgot the story of this man, the boys, and their bartering for marbles.
Several years went by, each more rapid than the previous one. Just recently I had occasion to visit some old friends in that Idaho community and while I was there learned that Mr. Miller had died. They were having his visitation that evening and knowing my friends wanted to go, I agreed to accompany them. Upon arrival at the mortuary we fell into line to meet the relatives of the deceased and to offer whatever words of comfort we could.

Ahead of us in line were three young men. One was in an army uniform and the other two wore nice haircuts, dark suits and white shirts...all very professional looking. They approached Mrs. Miller, standing composed and smiling by her husband's casket.

Each of the young men hugged her, kissed her on the cheek, spoke briefly with her and moved on to the casket. Her misty light blue eyes followed them as, one by one; each young man stopped briefly and placed his own warm hand over the cold pale hand in the casket. Each left the mortuary awkwardly, wiping his eyes.

Our turn came to meet Mrs. Miller. I told her who I was and reminded her of the story from those many years ago and what she had told me about her husband's bartering for marbles. With her eyes glistening, she took my hand and led me to the casket.

'Those three young men who just left were the boys I told you about.

They just told me how they appreciated the things Jim 'traded' them. Now, at last, when Jim could not change his mind about color or size....they came to pay their debt.'

'We've never had a great deal of the wealth of this world,' she confided, 'but right now, Jim would consider himself the richest man in Idaho ..'

With loving gentleness she lifted the lifeless fingers of her deceased husband... Resting underneath were three exquisitely shined red marbles.

The Moral:
We will not be remembered by our words, but by our kind deeds. Life is not measured by the breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath.

Today I wish you a day of ordinary miracles ~ A fresh pot of coffee you didn't make yourself...

An unexpected phone call from an old friend.... Green traffic lights on your way to work....

The fastest line at the grocery store....

A good sing-along song on the radio...

Your keys found right where you left them.

Send this to the people you'll never forget. I just did...

If you don't send it to anyone, it means you are in way too much of a hurry to even notice the ordinary miracles when they occur.

IT'S NOT WHAT YOU GATHER, BUT WHAT YOU SCATTER THAT TELLS WHAT KIND OF LIFE YOU HAVE LIVED!

Muammar Gaddafi R.I.P.

© MMXI V.1.1.7
by Morley Evans

The "free press," which brainwashes us continuously, brings news about the "liberation" of Libya. The "brutal dictator" Muammar Gaddafi was dragged from a sewer pipe and summarily executed by a mob of hate-filled Libyans. Now they are free. Really? How free are the Iraqis since we liberated them from the "brutal dictator" Saddam Hussein? In point of fact, both Libya and Iraq were among the most progressive and prosperous countries in the Arab world (not to forget Lebanon). Both Saddam and Gaddafi "killed their own people." Yes they did, but remember Abraham Lincoln killed well over 700,000 Americans in the Civil War that was fought to preserve Washington's empire. Honest Abe moved American mass slaughter of his own people into the big league. You can compare it to the Napoleonic Wars a few years before or to the Crimean War. American ingenuity created many new weapons too.

Did Gaddafi do anything good for the people of Libya? We won't find a good word in the "free press" but we do find good words in other places.

We should all pause to consider that the real Evil Empire has been unmasked since "9/11". The "world's only remaining superpower" now kills whomever it wants, whenever it wants, wherever it wants. Mad drunk with power, law is a joke to Washington's boneheads. The fate of the unfortunate people of Iraq and Libya will one day be our fate, if everyone continues to slumber and believe the lies. The New World Order is no more our friend than it was the friend of those Iraqis who welcomed their U.S. "liberators" in 2003. You will be as surprised as they were when your time comes. Too bad for us. Too bad for you.

Saddam and Gaddafi were both insubordinate. They committed the ultimate crime: they criticized Israel. They supported the PLO and Arafat. Gaddafi made friends with Black Africa and imagined he was an Arab Fidel Castro. What could be worse than that? Only the ultimate crime above.

The 2011 "people's revolt" in Libya was organized by the C.I.A. and helped immeasurably by NATO and the United States which contributed $2 billion and led behind the scenes. Canada was proud to help out as Generalissimo Harper smiled his smarmy smile. Canadians, who are even more deluded than Americans, know what they are by their record in the Middle East.

Who runs the New World Order? It is not the menagerie in the U.S. Congress that grovels before Netanyahu, the racist paranoiac who despises them while he grabs your money. He may think he runs it, but the Yahoo is just another inmate in the asylum. The New World Order is not new. It is the Empire. It is an old story that won't be on the "news" which only reports new stories that have been approved for you to see. They tell you what you know. They control what you think, who you love and who you hate. Did you cheer when you watched Gaddafi die?

Here are a few good words for Gaddafi:

Here's how he died:
http://www.atimes.com/atimes/Middle_East/MJ22Ak03.html

The uprisings in Tunisia, Egypt, Syria, Yemen, and Bahrain are different from Libya, but the game is the same. The Empire is looking at its options to stay in control whether or not the "brutal dictators" are removed. The Empire must always stay in control and look like the champion of truth and justice as it grinds everyone into the dirt, including you.

Gaddafi's capital, Sirte, October 2011

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/africa/gaddafis-dream-capital-for-africa-pulverised-into-a-ruin-2374667.html

Like Nasser, Gaddafi had dreams of Arab unity. Gaddafi wanted African unity along with an uplifting of the world's 99% who have nothing.

"What!

"Fools! Such nonsense will not be tolerated anywhere in the Empire, so let Gaddafi be a lesson to you in the Occupy Wall Street movement, Hugo Chavez, China or anyone else who gets uppity. We own you body and soul along with everything here on this earth and throughout the universe!"

Was Gaddafi good or bad?
Here's The REAL News:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6aBQ80Rv2wo&feature=related

Gaddafi, good or bad — like Castro — was made to serve the interests of the Empire, as will be his successor whoever may rise to that position.

All Through The Night

© MMXI V.1.0.0
by Morley Evans

1. Sleep my love, and peace attend thee
All through the night;
Guardian angels God will lend thee,
All through the night,
Soft the drowsy hours are creeping,
Hill and vale in slumber sleeping,
I my loving vigil keeping,
All through the night.
2.  While the moon her watch is keeping
All through the night;
While the weary world is sleeping
All through the night;
O'er thy spirit gently stealing,
Visions of delight revealing,
Breathes a pure and holy feeling,
All through the night.
-or-
2. Angels watching ever round thee,
All through the night,
In thy slumbers close surround thee,
All through the night,
They should of all fears disarm thee,
No forebodings should alarm thee,
They will let no peril harm thee,
All through the night.

Apple VS Multivitamin

In the second decade of the 21st Century, we are witnessing a battle for health between the pharmaceutical industry and food. Here is an apple versus a multivitamin:

The humble apple with jillions of micronutrients wins hands down over the haughty well-advertised and sometimes even "doctor recommended" multivitamin with its few "active ingredients" in colossal quantities and other stuff.

THE APPLE WINS!

Breast Cancer

by Morley Evans

We just finished another campaign against breast cancer which means another fundraising extravaganza by the cancer business. I'm sure they made tons of money. It is the only thing the cancer industry does well. What can you do if you want to avoid breast cancer? Here's Dr. Mercola with some advice you do not want to ignore. The first rule is AVOID MAMMOGRAMS and everyone promoting them. The cancer industry does not understand that RADIATION CAUSES CANCER. Duh. Or maybe they do. What do you think?

Why Do Prices Rise?

© MMXI V.1.0.4
by Morley Evans

Inflation: Why Do Prices Rise?

Vendors compete against vendors. Shoppers compete against shoppers. Vendors are always seeking to charge higher prices. Shoppers are always seeking to find lower prices. Shoppers bid against other shoppers when they want to buy something. Every market operation is an auction all the time. When vendors discover shoppers will pay more, prices rise because shoppers are willing to pay more. Shoppers will pay more if they have more money. They bid up the price. Shoppers will have more money when the government makes more money. The first people to get this new money will benefit most because they will be spending their new money to buy at the old lower prices. Government employees are some of the people who get the money first. In the beginning people will think they are wealthier, but soon everyone will be paying more for everything.

Gold is a desirable base for money because people (governments, kings and banks) can't make more of it. Paper money can be made as fast as it can be printed as every counterfeiting operation knows. Money today exists as numbers in computers, just add zeros and you have more money. Central banks create money out of thin air and loan it to governments, with interest. You are supposed to repay this debt, or they will take everything you own. Over half of the U.S. debt of 14 trillion is owed to the Federal Reserve. Where do you think the Fed got all that money? They didn't save it up. They made it out of thin air just like you could do if you had a printing press in your basement.

Do you think everyone would be rich if they printed money to pay for everything they wanted to buy?

The words of the banksters and their government, academic and media stooges are always false. They DO NOT "manage" the economy to benefit the people. They do not and cannot "manage" the economy at all. GREED and its creature, central banking, is the root of the problem. The Rothschilds, Rockefellers, Morgans and Warburgs were not your ancestors' friends. Their descendants are still not your friends. Strike the root!

Canadians love banks, the CBC tells us. Canadians think Canadian banks are wonderful. Canadians think the Bank of Canada is their friend. Canadians also think Canadian medicine is the best in the world. They love hockey too and the RCMP, according to the CBC. Canada is a stupid place, but not all Canadians are stupid.

Do you know that 95% of the American dollar has been STOLEN by the government and its banking cartel since 1913 when the Federal Reserve System was created? This was also the beginning of the Big Wars of the 20th century at the heart of which was the United States and Great Britain.

Wake up!

Dr. Gonzalez

Dr. Mercola interviews Dr. Gonzales about cancer and the religion of modern pharmaceutical medicine. Dr. Gonzalez has over twenty years of successfully treating cancer. (He's not alone.) You don't want to get cancer, do you? Good health requires a lifetime commitment to eating wholesome food and avoiding everything that is unwholesome. Food matters. Don't get sick, you cannot afford it. No one can afford it. The establishment medical priesthood cannot save you. It cannot even save itself. But they will happily take your money. It's what they do best.

DO YOU HAVE TWO MINUTES?

Here's a message about Juice PLUS+ that will get you started on the road to good health and a long fulfilled life:

Juice PLUS+ is encapsulated fresh fruits and vegetables. I first heard about Juice PLUS+ from Joan at the gym. I was recovering from a very long illness which ended in 2000, when I was in a coma. Despite what doctors here say, nutrition had helped me before so I decided to give it a try again.

Juice PLUS+ is a new approach in nutrition. It is encapsulated concentrated living micronutrients in their thousands contained in whole foods. JuicePLUS+ is the foundation of my wellness regime today. I'm healthier at 64 than I was at 24, or 14. I may live another sixty years. I lifted 7 tons at the gym on Friday. I may even get to start a family in ten years when I will be 21 again, if I am 11 now!

I am lucky to have lived the life I have had. Thank God for all of it!

Can nutrition really prevent and cure disease? Yes. Have I really been given two lives? Did my first life end one night in the operating room when I was 53? Will I really be 21 again? We'll both have to wait ten years to find out, but it certainly looks that way now. I can see my life stretching out ahead, filled with wonderful things and loving people — especially her, my beautiful wife.

Whatever happens, this is very certain: My life is much better than it was and your life can be much better than it is.

Blessings . . .
